Hi All, thanks for reading this post. I'm not sure how to go about this or how to ask, as I want to stay inline with the BHW terms and keep my record clean.. Can you tell I'm a Noobie here?

I just got a really nice amazon affiliate site built with a few really good articles and am working on getting a nice back-linking strategy going. In the meantime though, I have to generate 3 sales in my Amazon Affiliate Account or I will lose it and have to start all over with another account and change out all the links again, which I am having to do manually for products now as I have not yet found a good solution for auto-updates thru Amazons API yet that will work nicely with my wp site. So Pain in the A** to say the least to have to redo a lot of work. I should have waited to open my Amazon Affiliate Account, but I didn't realize it would take so long to get the site up and running. So, now I am near the end of my 180 days to complete 3 purchases.

I
Question Is there a good Amazon plugin that works with tablepress tables? Becuase doing these links manually with no way to update them is just....crazy

When you create a new account again - Do you have to create anew email and everything...? Or just sign back in and ask for a new ID? (Mine expired cause I did nothing with it either).

Pintrest is where itss at for Amazon :)

Hey yes, you have to use a new email and start all over with applying to the program, putting in all your details about sites, etc.
Then you have to go apply to all the different country programs, if you are selling in more than one. That is a necessity these days as your web traffic can come from anywhere.
Then, any links you may have had published are dead (since your account is deactivated) so you have to build new ones.
Then plug those in everywhere you had links before.
Getting a headache yet?
There's more...
Then you have to change out all the code in your website like:
amazon affiliate links
amazon one link if you had it installed (because it's linked to your old affiliate count)

So yeah, a total pain in the rear end to redo all that work (it took me about 3 days) and I already had to redo all that once before.

This is killing me because, I'm getting hits on my links but no purchases. Jeez when I finally make a few sales and get the formula right!!!

Ughhhh No Bueno. lol. Sorry about that. I tried it a while back - for me I didnt see the payout / reward hence I put it on hold until I had a larger traffic / following source.

Yeah I definitely should have done that in retrospect. Ah well, it is what it is, gotta work with it now lol.

I'm struggling with that myself, I guess that's amazon's way to make sure no newbies join their program, as it will probably take any new site more than a few months to rank and make their first 3 sales.

I'm thinking of alternate ways to get those few small sales.

Takes a hell lot of time, but I do it manually. That way I make sure my post is 100% up to my expectations of quality.

It definitely takes time, I don't mind that so much as what if a price updates or the item is no longer available? then that link is wasted

Can friends buy for you and it will consider a sale?

I would think so. It just can't be associated with my email address, mailing address and I would assume IP address.

I just want to get the review sales over and keep my account out of jeopardy. And of course not cause any problems here on BHW. LOL

Do display the price you have to use the Amazon API to stay in compliance with their TOS.

Absolutely!

Just as getting a Paypal business debit card or getting a new Adsense account when an account was previously banned in "many ways". Different address, different IP, different name and you're on your way to an Amazon Associates referral sale. Just have your friend buy within a 24hr period and Amazon would/'should' credit the account with the sale as long as they make the sale from the mobile app they've their payment method saved and/or directly at Amazon.com from their browser. It is working on my end, but I'd definitely would love to have this automated...

Other methods that nobody has mentioned here as well..
--> Niche forums directly tied to your website relevance (without bombarding the forum w/ a forum link and only 1-10 posts)
--> Facebook Ads.. from your own Facebook fan page post with your own product page promotion (Matt Wolfe teaches this very nicely)
--> Paying a friend to do this for you, yes, and it'll be called blackhat, grey hat and super white hat depending who we ask as usual..its all manipulation of TOS in my views

Keen to see more replies as well on this one as well..its been a while:)
