99% sure you need to add ?. It will not work as you posted it

that sure looks better.. however it appears that they strip any random strings following the slash /.. so i still wonder if the affiliate ID will make it through.
is there a way to test? my home stats seem to update only once a day, and how do i know if a click comes from this link?

To test you could create a new tracking ID and use it once by pasting the URL into your browser (then do nothing else with it) and see if it registers. Also the reports update in real-time (not sure on clicks) if you go to the detailed reports (not the homepage). BTW the string was not stripped for me.
i just tried, and it did not register a click. i went and created a 2nd id, and tried it in a full aff link (by changing just the ID), and it still does not register a click? i guess i'll give it a day.
my home stats only show up to yesterday. it seems that purchase or bounties from yesterday only show up after 4pm ET? i wonder why you are real time? maybe you have enough volume?
btw, i meant "ignore", not "strip."
conclusion:
1, simply adding an aff id after product links wont work/register.
2, cannot use an ID to generate a link, and replace the ID with another.
this would make my attempt of massively obtaining amazon aff links harder.

3, you cannot simply add your ID to the end of a url.
