My site is currently broke not updating and locked to what they did no changes my front page is messed up and my scrapper attached are screenshot of what we agreed on along with price for the work. They tried to pretend they are different people after breaking my site now I have to hire someone to fix what they broke my plugin/scrapper and site layout<br><br>

If you look at that guy he had been a member for less than a month and only posted in HaF threads.
Anybody posting in that many HaF threads is clearly desperate. Do not deal with desperate people.

To add to that there are BST approved coding/programming services with reviews from old and reputed members of the forum. Before throwing your money away just search the BST marketplace once.

I don't think that blaming newbies is the good solution: at the base, it's the seller who stole, right? The buyer is only a victim.
And, just like that, all the sellers in the BST were new sellers, at first, without reviews/reputation.
And even BST approved services can be scams ...

Yes you are correct, even BST services could be scams cause they have not stood the test of time, however the chances of getting scammed in a transaction in an approved BST which is being reviewed by mod and senior members is much less than an open transaction with a newbie seller in a HAF post who has no past track record in the forum.
The percentage of scam is much lesser, am sure forum owners can publish better stats on that.
Moreover this is internet, you just need to do business with your eyes and ears open. Scams can happen anytime , anywhere. BSTs are not safe heaven but they have at-least some sort of prior checks.

If you were looking to buy a brand new iPhone and were walking down the street - and there were 2 shops in front of you:
1) Professional looking store, latest model demos out, knowledgeable staff, official Apple logos posted on the walls - Price $550
2) Shabby storefront, old model demos on display - not even powered up, very few staff, no Apple logos anywhere - Price $475
Although the price of the 2nd store is tempting, It's clear that if you really want to get what you paid for, you go to store #1. Store #2 is much more risky.
Now, even given that example - people like amazingdeveloper (the scammer in this thread) was more like the guy standing on the corner in front of the official store with a long trenchcoat. He opens it up, shows you all kinds of flashy devices and offers to sell you one for $300... FAR less than the 'official price' - and that's because he cuts out the middleman and he has no overhead. He talks a great game, but in the end, he hands you a brown wrapped package and by the time you open it up to realize you just bought a $5 calculator for $300, he's gone like a puff of smoke.
YES, it's the seller's fault. BUT, when it's MY money, I don't know about you, I don't just walk up to some random guy on the street and trust that he's going to deliver just because he says he can.
When it comes to a BST - you are talking about a provider that's paid for Jr VIP, created and paid for a BST and has more time invested than many (most?) of these scammers. They are tested by a mod and yes, sometimes the service declines over time, and if that's the case, we step in and get the BST owner to step up his game, or we close the BST.

I fully agree, and when I buy in the market place, I try to be careful, BUT, if each time a newbie/noob or even an old member is not careful and is scammed by a false seller, a scammer, we say things like "It's your fault!","You should be more careful", "Ah! How could you trust this seller!", ..., it may create some problems:
1) People who will be scammed because they weren't enough careful will stop complaining: why would they want to pass for fools and be blamed by other members? So, scammers will stay longer and will scam more people.
2) BHW reputation is at stake: when there is a scam, in short, some people say "It's your fault, be careful". True, but some people may think too: "I'm on BHW, it's a trusty forum, with trusty members, so I'm going to trust this seller. After all, BHW mods won't let register obvious scammers."
3) People are scammed, sometimes for hundreds of dollars, and all they get is "Well done for you! be careful, next time!". I sincerely think it's mean.
4) Some good and reputed providers may be scammers in the end.

Correct, but all BST approved services have spent $100+ to get Jr. VIP and their sales thread and have many posts on the forums. Newbies have few posts and have spent $0 on the forum. The people that spend money on a BST have something to actually lose if they scam you (it still happens occasionally). The newbie that just joined the forum has nothing to lose. Don't trust a newbie with your money, unless you are willing to give away your money.

Sellers in The Marketplace have invested time (100 posts) and money ($97 for JrVIP + $30 for Sales thread) on BHW to open their thread. Occasionally problems arise but most sellers value their reputation and the benefits that The Marketplace offers their business.
A new user who joined last week with 2 posts has nothing to lose, it is the same as dealing with a stranger who promises to come back next week with your goods. It doesn't mean don't trust new users, it just means that you have to carry out due diligence before sending them any money.

I agree with what you say, but newbies may not be aware of that.
Just take a look at the number of threads like "How can I sell on BHW/marketplace?", "how do I become a JrVIp?", "what is the cost for ...?"
Tgey don't seem to know all the costs you say.
