Amaz0n Associate Pre-0rder

I am looking for an answer from a marketer who worked with the Amazon affiliate program.


Will the pre-order show up in my order report as soon as the customer make his pre-order (even if he did not pay the full price of the item)?
I know that when a customer make a pre-order, the item will not be charged right away but only when the item is released.


Let's take a quick example:
DAY 1: Customer AB pre-order item WZ.
DAY 2: Amazon Associate reports are updated with data from DAY 1.
...
DAY 15: Item WZ is released and the item is charged to Customer AB
.

Will the pre-order of Customer AB shows up on my Amazon Associate reports on DAY 2 or it will be shown on DAY 15?


I am asking such question because I am currently driving tons of traffic to Amazon items that can be pre-ordered but nothing shows up within my account even if the click volume is high and the traffic is targeted.

It will show up on the order report, but you wont get earnings until it has shipped. Thats how it was for the Battlefield 3 preorder.

How do I find preorders for a particular category??

If it's not showing up in your reports, they must not actually be ordering. If they pre-order it will show up in your reports for that day, it just doesn't pay out until it ships (just like everything else, you get paid for products shipped). If they cancel inbetween, you don't get paid for it.

Make sure you're looking at your orders report not your earnings report.
