hello guys

first thing first

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU & YOUR ENCOURAGING JOURNEYS

I started a niche blog recently & while be bowsing the other blogs I've noticed that all of them have an image of the person behind the blog I don't like to put my photos on this blog besides I'm no expert I'm just researching & using AI + grammarly to write blog posts and I don't like the idea of faking it & put an AI-generated photo btw I'm sure a lot of people do this on the net

so I'm curious about how every one of you would approach this?

thanks

It sure increases credibility and trustworthiness but it's not mandatory in my opinion.

I definitely like to see who's behind the content, but if there's no photo of them I don't even think about it.

Here's my take on this:

The fact that they are putting an image of themselves on the homepage might not have as big of an impact, but (when they do it like this) having the blog as a part of their personal brand does.

Not everyone who reads your blog posts visits the homepage, or even when you show yourself as an author at the bottom of your blog posts, not everybody sees it.

Blogs that are around a personal brand get branded searches, direct traffic and many more signals like related social accounts, etc. That has definitely an impact on SEO and the overall success of the website and the business behind it.

When you're not comfortable doing it, it's not a big deal. There are many examples of successful websites out there whose owners are not showing their faces, like micro niche sites.

If your main aim is credibility and professionalism, then a real-life image of yourself will work very well.
A simple photo goes a long way toward building trust.

thanks guys for your replies

To be quite honest, I didn't notice that many people are putting their photos on the blog articles, maybe some professional websites only that have famous blog sections. It could be a good idea as it helps people to connect more with the author, but it's definitely not mandatory, so you don't need to worry about it much.

If you want to make it big, somebody should be the face of the blog. It increases the trust a lot.

I don't think so
