Am I wasting my time with ScrapeBox spam?

Lately, I've been doing a lot of targeted ScrapeBox commenting. By that, I mean I'll gather a ton of blog entries on a particular topic, then create a few general comments that are relevant to that topic. I will then go down the list once, doing a direct link back to my money site, then I'll go through it again, with a link back to a Web 2.0 tier.

Here is my question... Is this just a waste of time? I've heard both yes and no, so I really have no idea what to think.

I'm thinking about using ScrapeBox strictly for research... I might begin to put all of my focus back on Article Marketing Robot... Magic Submitter... etc. Thoughts? Where would you put your focus?

When using SB, you have to do it right so not to waste your time:

1. get private proxies
2. Prepare good comments
3. Buy some Auto Approved lists or other high quality lists

Also, what do you mean by a ton 1000, 2000, 5000? try 100,000 thats what would be considered a ton.

SB is meant to save us time not waiste it but as with everything else if you dont do it right, you are bound to simply waste your time. hope that helps

Some days I might get 1,000 successfully posted (not necessarily approved) comments that are targeted to the blog's content. Other days, I don't do any. Definitely nowhere near 100,000 in a month.

I have the same advice for you, private proxies auto approved lists and keep on blasting... till you exhaust the lists. Remember post only once on the list with your link, multiple links from same site hold no value.

Scrapebox is very powerful tool if used correctly, I am ranking on page 1 for a medium high competition keyword just through SB blasts, not 100,000 but even more.. i dnt remem.. lol

scrapebox does seem like a lot of work, but for some people they have success with this..i dunno

OK, I have another question. I've got a few private proxies now. But what good do they do me? Are they strictly for getting around Akismet? If so, wouldn't I have already been blocked based solely on the fact that I'm submitting so many links to so few sites?

Private proxies post much faster than public ones for me.

Also, if you get some fresh private proxies you can do a few good harvesting sessions without worrying about getting public proxies to scrape with. After a while, G will start to hate them, then you move to public.

If you're spamming at all, anything with Askimet is out of the question anyways. No real webmaster posts 100 blog comments an hour (or so, forget the exact) with his URL.
