Whenever I see people saying this I automatically know that they haven't ranked a site on top positions in the past year. It takes multiple months to escape the second page hold, for more serious terms it takes even longer to see any movement at all when you are on the first page. On the other hand, there's less new competition coming in, a ton of people are quitting or will quit, things being how they are now.

I've read about the second page hold, but I'm more concerned about the 0 page hold?

i ranked on and i have a case study for it.

it took me around 50$ to rank it not much of my time.
the main Kw is now steady in pos 2. some subkw in 1.

so you see...whenever you think something don't be to sure you are right.

Anychance you could post a screenshot of the analytics for the site in your journey from the very start until current day? I am just curious to see something.
 
That term is quite quite quite difficult to rank bro.

And Get a expired domain and point it to your site to gain some additional metrics and traffic.
 
From our point of view, your website is totally out of data and lack adequate content .
Similar websites hardly rank in top 60.
For casino niche website you need a better website look and content. Also limit the outgoing links per page.. looks spammy

No it doesn't. It may do for people still doing the same shit they were doing five years ago, but it is still possible to rank a site fair quick.
 
This niche is very competitive and may be your rank dropped.

Makes no difference, people who believe in the Sandbox can't rank on bing or yahoo either.

This is interesting, i have 2 relatively new client sites on a different niche, one is on a food niche (site A) and one is on a health niche (site B). I manage to rank around 15+ keywords on the first page for Site B in just 2+ month, the KC is easy and medium. While on site A, KC is easy-medium and it's been almost 5 months and i'm still stuck on page 2.

My link buiilding strategy on both sites are pretty much the same, except on site B i don't use PBN at all, just a couple of 301 redirect from an expired domains on the same niche. While on site A i drip 15 links/month PBN post the last 3 month and still stuck at page 2.

From your experience, how much time did it take to break through from page 2 to page 1?

Too many factors are in place to give you an answer. 301 are too unpredictable, I wouldn't even touch them as they can do more harm than good.

Try sending more brand, naked url and random anchors like (website, click here..) and instead of exact match (if your money kw is 'London Plumbers' and your sitename is joesplumbing.com)

Having more than a few % of exact match (if it's not your domain name) is very unnatural.

The 301 on site B is from a couple of sites from the same niche that my client are not using anymore so i think i'm good there, hence the decent results in just 2+ months.

It's site A that got me a bit puzzled, using a similar link building strategy and most of the keywords specially the high volume ones are still stuck at page 2. Is it because i was trying to rank for the home page? I admit the anchor text ratio is a bit high, around 8% for the primary KW and 6% on the secondary KW.

I'm not giving up, but i'm going to add some diversity on the anchor text on the upcoming weeks and see how it goes.
