am i phone verifying my account correctly?

i brought quite a few sim cards from ebay to PV

i simply put the sim in my phone, get the mobile number, put that into IG (upon PV request), recieve the code, put that code into IG and instant bans.. this is probably due to bad proxies but my question is.. is what im doing correct?
(i live in the UK if that makes a difference)

i see others saying you need to activate the sim first by topping up but like fuck am i paying £10 to top-up per account.

Yeah you're doing it right probs just shit proxies.

If the number receives a text - its activated. You are most likely using bad proxies or accounts that have been flagged by instagram
