So, yesterday I wanted to start learning W0rdpress and I installed it with a one-click isntaller.
That was probably my first mistake.
Is it me or one-click 1nstalls are horrible to customize without breaking everything?

I install a couple of security plugins. I want to plug a htacc3ss issue, and then I'm locked out of the db and website. Internal error 500 and I had to delete the whole thing through the h0st.

Since I just want to do a MNS for Clkbank, do I really have to fix every since security issue, at the risk of locking myself out of my own website?
Wouldn't it be better for me to just write 6-7 articles, plug SOME security issues then promote?

I feel like I'm wasting time, and I'm in way over my head.

I've been using wordpress since 2008 and I have had hundreds of wp based sites. The only times I've ever had any hacked was because of me failing to update plugins that had some kind of exploit. I don't think you should worry about fooling with htaccess just to make a mns for cb. Don't make it brain surgery. Install a back up plugin like updraft plus and look for security plugins with good reviews in the repository if you are worried. Just make the site and get the $$ flowing. :)

Thank you, that's what I'll do. I'll stop making things so complicated :)
