I decided to focus on three key words:

S...... homes
w........ homes
p........ homes

I'm in the process of having my website updated for a mire modern look and told the developer that I plan on doing SEO work to the site or hiring it out, domain is about 6 years old

I started by creating articles on AMR, I spun them, and will probaby spin the articles more going forward so they are unique. Many of the directories didn't produce active links, only 78...is this normal?

After getting like links I used scrapebox to ping the live links and fee them through RSS......Am I on the right track? I also had scrapebox check my pagerank and it said 0...does that me I have no page ranking at all? How can I check page rankf for key words as I move forward?

Please tell me if Im going forward in the right direction or if I'm completely off target? I'm not going after word that are very competititve, but who knows? Any advise?

If they are all from the same area yes , but it depends on what kind of website you are looking to build, portal, service reviewer, renting, buying.

Is this is business site that is making you money? By the keywords I would assume it is a legitimate site and is worth investing in. You would be much better off hiring someone to write completely original articles to submit. They will last longer, have a better approval rate, and give your website a better image and drive more direct traffic from the "big" article directories. If you go in the Hire a Freelancer section you can probably get nice original articles in good English for around $4-$5, and if there are are English mistakes, you could probably correct the issues yourself for a discounted price.

Overall, you do seem to get the right basic idea of building backlinks though, which is good. Took me about 2 years to get the understanding you seem to be at.

I suggest you to edit your post and remove the keyword....

so..AMR is in decline...or maybe the Articles Directory where you posted your articles are not Auto Approve (go in download section and download an AMR list)!

Ping and RSS are ok....but remember...don't ping too much back links in the same day or you will be penalized by big G!

Best way is to mix your backlinks (forum profiles, bookmarks, blog comments ecc...), even do follow and No follow...

Pagerank are not updated each time Google find new backlinks, so...never give up and continuously build backlinks..you'll see the results!

First of all, never, ever reveal your keywords to anyone. Remembering and following this will prove to be a lifesaver in the long run.

Pagerank updates happen every 3-4 months or so. Don't rush it.

Also, don't rely so much on Scrapebox and AMR. This isn't too good in 2012 from what I gather. Instead, from the very beginning, you should focus on one word only - DIVERSIFY. Build diverse links, and start out slow.

This is just my two cents. Read some of the other threads going on right now with people having problems because of too many, one-type backlinks, and learn from their mistakes.

Peace//

I will try to diverisfy as much as possible. The problem is there is no one answer to do things "correct" and it appears to be trial and error. I will keep reading and plugging away. thanks
