plz spare a moment to help me plz :S i migrated to hg vps around 5 days ago and changed the name servers to the custom ones around 65-70 hrs ago.i was told not to update the blog since i will lose all the posts because theyname servers changes will take 48-72 hrs to implement....then around 17-20 hrs ago, they confirmed that name server changes had taken effect and i can update my blog without worrying about losing posts...now i did 5 posts in morning and at 1 pm i see all my posts were vanished which i did today...i contacted hg staff and the official logged in my cpanel and restarted some mysql connection or i dunno what he did neither did i ask properly but he restored all my morning posts .now after 5-6 hours when i again open my pc i again see all posts which i made today were gone .

another thing

i had asked hg guys to enable mod_coudflare and they after doing that they mailed me this

Hello again,

Well once you log in to cloudflare it will likely give you 2 options.
You can either keep your custom nameservers and just change the CNAME or A record for the domain to cloudflare's ip or hostname, or you can change the nameservers to theirs.

Either way it will work, but you just need to login to their site and they will tell you what all you need to do to make it work.

i changed the name servers then

then another mail came

Hello again,

Ok great, then within the next 48 hours when the DNS updates are complete your cloudflare should begin to work.

If after the 48 hours you are still having issues with this please let us know and we would be more than happy to help you further with this.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or issues as well, we are always willing to assist you in your needs.
Sincerely,

i did stuff as they indicated me...and now i m facing problems...

i tried importing backups as i take hourly backups still no results

i currently waiting for admin response for the ticket.

can u guys tell me what wrong didi i do :( i m using vps for first time and changed host for the first time.

i lost so much money today because of this :o

Considering, its hostgator, you probably did something very minute that couldve been passed by. Douchebags.

i didnt have to read anything you wrote but im going with hostgator is fvcking nuts

I never had a problem with hostgator. I guess since i've been with them so long that they tend to take care of the older accounts more.

I say away from big name hosts, support sucks usually for anything out of the ordinary. I got a great host recently and I'm not going back. They built me a custom setup and support is awesome, they even gone to 3rd parties support to fix my problems. This ain't gonna happen at any big name host :)

yeah those gusy fucked up a bit during the transfer and they apologized me.thankfully i had the backup :D
