Am I doing something wrong with my groups?

I am in a pretty saturated niche (TEFL / ESL) but I own decent "real estate" on FB.

I own two pages, one with 12k and another 1k subs
I own 4 TEFL / ESL job groups,30k subs in total


What I've tried to do is make reference to my services in the cover images AND pin an advert at the top of each page and group.

However, I know based on the affiliate link I've used that it has generated only ONE sale in 2020... meanwhile, I have affiliates who generate a sale every week...

Adverts will always be looking as adverts. That is what you need to understand. That is better to get users involved (interact) in publication which contain affiliate link, but do not look as advert anyway.

HP, thanks for the encouragement. Two responses:

1.) I run the TEFL/ESL program. I am not an affiliate, but rather I run an affiliate program (once I have the right to post about it here on BHW I will offer the opportunity).

2.) I find that FB traffic isn't interested in reading. I post a lot of very interesting content, but I find that FB traffic has terrible bounce, page duration, and number of pages visited when they click through... something like >80%,<1.5 minutes, and <1.75 pages, respectively. If I post the same content on Quora, it's more like <50%,>3 minutes, and more than 2.5, respectively. Organic search is even better.

It could be my niche, or it could be FB.

Of course it could depend on niche. And it is really good of you that you try and test various ways. I believe one day you end up with the best platform with the best ROI. But for now the only thing you can do is trying and testing.

Actually, surprisingly or not, YouTube traffic is the best. People on YouTube, while many there for fun, are there to learn. Unlike FB where people just scroll mindlessly, people on youtube are looking for serious, long-form content... at least in my niche.

So you have your target niche now and I think that worth to get concentrated on this niche and try to find the ways to increase monetization.

So far, I just sell a certification. I might try to some other means (ads, affiliates, etc)... but that doesn't seem likely considering that the certifications are a market themselves.

I'm working on other blogs for those purposes
