Freedom. This word solely encompasses the aspirations of many fellow blackhatters. Wether it be economic freedom or personal freedom, living by the rules often deters the innate liberty. Nowhere is perfect but some places are more perfect than others. I can not quench my taste for freedom by chosing to live in the middle of Texas. The culture, geographic location, and outlook of life by the general populace lack any appeal to me. Obviously the United States is one of the best places to live, however I fail to see a future in it if the government and culture continues to evolve in the decadent way which it does. Our economy falters, corrupt government continues to impose more restrictions on her citizens, and more and more of my fellow citizens get caught up in the unbreakable 9-5 rat-race. I want freedom; I want to escape to a place where people love life, know how to party, and place where beautiful women and beaches are the way of life. An overly optimistic dream it is, but I am sure for a country boy anything is more appealing and lucrative than spending the rest of my days demotivated in hicksville, USA.
I plan to graduate in four years when I am twenty with a degree in Macro Economics and a minor in Spanish language. I feel this will allow me to set up my own business in the future; preparing myself to become financially independent. Once I set up a decent IM gig and a business I can let my money work for it's self, opening the doors of opportunity to escape the dreaded 9-5 ratrace. This allows me to pursue the finer things in life by living a modest lifestyle of traveling, partying, and seeking knowledge. If I can put in the blood sweat and tears now, I will reap the harvest later on.
Where in the world should I escape to if all goes to plan? I have been looking into Spain, Venezuela, France, Costa Rica, and Panama. I should also note that I am open to any suggestions however. I am willing to live within my means and with locals. I'd want a place with a rich culture, great climate and geography, and friendly warm people. I know Spanish fluently, English, and French so I'm lucked to have a plethora of options available to me (21 spanish speaking countries, UK, America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean Islands, France, North Africa), but I'd be willing to learn another language.
If you lived abroad can you recommend me some places and tell me your experiences with them? Thanks alot.
