Am I being dumb here?

So I wanted peoples opinions on this conversation I had on Facebook, usually I don’t get involved in this sort of things but I felt compelled this time.

I saw this post on a FB business group, and I thought it was a bit of scam. I don’t see the value in working for someone and you may or may not be paid for that work.

So am I being a negative Nancy here? And completely missed the point? Or would you guys agree with my opinion?
