Am adopting a pet

Dog = More love and you need to dedicate a lot of time with it
Cat= Less love but you don't have to spend any time other than just giving them some food.

Does not sound like you have had the pleasure of a cat being your master.

Cats a great fun, they spend time with you, enjoy your company. Once you understand the cat is the boss everyone gets on just fine.

I had cats since I was a child and I even have a few today. They are just a little different and doesn't show affection all the time. They have just their own way of showing affection.

actually I was thinking for a cat , when I alone :) to accompany me . Actually currently I got rear pets but is fish.

come to cat , i hold because is totally different from keeping pet fish,

keep pet fish is the most easily , don't need to spend much time on maintenance

only important thing watch out is the water .

for cat and dog is really need to care a lot then keeping fish.

I believe here got some members adopt cat

so I have some questions,

does u trim their claw? I does google around how to maintan a cat
some folks claim indoor cat better trim , whereas some claim no need just let them scratch the pole if they knows etc depend the cat

do u use wet wips to wipe their butts after they poo at litter box ?

does kitten need to be train ? when first come to your house explore around, u put that litter box in a place he easily find it will automatic
go there poo and pee?

actually I does have lots of question on maintance well perhaps some members knows well as they adpot cat.
 
Don't like cats tbh, friend of mine got burgled while she was asleep, her cat did nothing to prevent it.
I do like small terriers though.
 
Cats are the best! They can steal anything they want from your neighbors!
 
dog is the best pet. they really love you if you treat them nice.

Cats spend near half of their wake time cleaning themselves so no you don't wipe their butts. Cats tend to not like wet sticky or mushy stuff so they are dry most of the time. Anytime I got kittens I would walk them to the litter box. Literally hold them and walk them on their hind legs lol. They almost immediately know where to go. You can also make the kitten smell the litter box. It's amazing how they know.
Iv never declawed any pet and would strongly stand against it ,Iv never clipped their claws either. Just provide the outlet for them to do it so they don't destroy your furniture. You will eventually get a scratch or two that's just part of having a cat.

Dogs learn with practice, cats are masters of their own. Cats are more territorial than dogs so they are attached to the house and dog to the owners.

but some cat owners claim they does wip their cats butts , some claim they will do is on older cat
some claim is due to the fur depend which breed u adopt .

actually you stay in apartment or landed house?
if stay in apartment the windows like need to keep close or those grill which the design suit for the cat or else they will jump out isn't

Suppose your cat has a bad stomach and gets dirty then maybe you'll need to wipe its butt. 2 of my cats will be 8 years old in March and 2 others will be 7 in May/June. I don't recall ever having to wipe their butts, maybe wipe them because they got in an accident and got something on them. With a long-haired cat if you don't brush it often you'll need to clip off matted hair every now and then, and with a white long-haired cat, you'll probably clean its face every now and then because of the food stains.
Iv lived in apartments and had cats and now I live in a house. It's not much of a difference. In an apartment, if the cat thinks it'll be able to land on a surface it will go for it. But cats have a very good sense of depth perception so it won't jump out of the 20th floor of a building for no reason. Evolutionarily, cats are rabid hunters and unlike dogs are obligate carnivores, meaning they have evolutionary instincts to hunt so they are very good judges of their surroundings.

- I'll say this one thing that will answer most of your questions. All domesticated pets, require taking on responsibility. Feeding, cleaning, playing, showing affection are part of the job. If you have doubts because you may have to do some cleaning after a pet, I would suggest you don't get a pet. They live a long time and there will be times when you will have to get your hands dirty.

In addition there is a poetic quality to cats that I quite admire. Dogs make me feel sad. Their subservience, the fact that they're so easy to leash, to train, to command, their constant need for attention, even the fact that they essentially need your permission to go to the bathroom. A cat is a ... nobler creature. It's more a guest than an obsqueqious servant, more a dismissive older sibling than a helpless baby. A cat I can respect as an equal, even if I think dogs are usually quite cute and lovable.

Love the way you phrase it. But I should point out, dogs are pack animals, so they have an evolutionary need to belong, that's why a dog needs to be taught who the master is, the pack alpha and thats where the subservience stems from. On the other hand, if a dog is not taught its place in the pack, it becomes the alpha, something you don't want with a big dog.

Cats, on the other hand, much like their bigger cousins are solitary animals, so they have no evolutionary need to belong or follow. And as I pointed out in my previous comment, cats are hunters by default, so they move in stealth which to us appears elegant.

Yeah, cats seem smarter because of their ambivalence to socialization and their stubbornness, things associated with intelligence in humans, even though that scientifically, dogs are more intelligent, and cats' elegance is just an adaptation to their environment, not an indicator of flair and style. Still, it is fun to imagine ourselves in them, even if it doesn't have any real-world relevance.

I would argue cats are probably more intelligent. To be able to survive as a solitary animal, be domesticated but still cling on to archaic traits seems more intelligent. As if they learned to benefit from the presence of humans but kept on to their personalities as if to say you serve me not I you. I also see most of humanity closer to dogs than cats, pack mentality, subservience to power figures, the need to please.

Well I more curious on cat behavior , i ok with maintance is more on their safety as my apartment worry don't suit them
got quite a lot electronics around , wire , than a lot small toys , lo also a fish tank is never cover

so surely cat will curious go touch them etc , One of my friend who is a cat owner , told me just spray vinegar around those
area u don't want them get near will do, they will learn ok that place I will not go , I not sure true or not.
as once the vinegar smell gone, they will explore

Cats are very curious animals hence the saying 'curiosity killed the cat'. They may play with the wires, if it appears long stringy it can be a good play toy, they may also chew through it. I don't know, but it seems to me you may not be ready for a cat just yet.

yea , this is why . I love cat , but sadly i feel my apartment might not suit them .
