Don't really want to spend the 147 bucks for bookmarking demon. Is there any other alternatives that are just as good or as close but for way cheaper?

I'm been working with BMD and I like it. It was worth the money because they continually update their templates if sites change something (well, within a reasonable amount of time).
It also has some good randomization features, that help make the links look more "natural". AND it loads your site description and title and tags, which it will use for the submission text, although its a good idea to spin them as well.
But yeah, you can get it half off with your own affiliate link, or I'll split the comission if you PM me for a link (I did this with someone else the other day).
The only down side to me is that they double the cost of decapthers, so its $4/1000 captcha. Not a deal breaker, but kinda cheesy. But whatever as long as they keep updating the program.

i was about to get BMD but i went with AMR instead. There was a thread i stumbled upon 2 years back in the DL section for BMD cracked. too bad no one has cracked it again. i dont tthink BMD is in the DNS list.

I have yet to find a sick submiter that submits to the big bookmarking site (Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit, Delicious etc)
Digg is great for Pligg and Scuttle - but the vasy majority of those are PR0.
Ok for indexing 2nd and 3rd tier stuff, but poor for voting and traffic generation.
BMD does both - and for a one off fee.

I tried BookmarkWiz but was a little disappointed. Bookmarking Demon is worth the money tbh, although it's a little slow, it does the job perfectly.
Sick submitter, as many have said, is another option if you are targeting bm sites of a particular platform.

I tried sick submitter before going with BMD. Granted, if you are great at programming or have the time to develop your own templates for sick then its a great solution. However, that is not really something I could afford to do. I needed something that I could start working with ASAP. One day, I will go back to sick because it is extremely versatile, but right now I don't have the time to take full advantage of what it can do. And honestly, if you arent gonna program your own templates and then make your own packets, then sick is a very bad choice. The costs associated with purchasing packets and templates adds up extremely quickly, and anything free you can find is pretty much a complete waste of time.
Sick is okay, but if I am gonna go down that road I would just go with Zennoposter or Ubot or something like that. Otherwise, outside of some minor problems BMD has been pretty awesome.
