Hey,

are there any good (cheaper or free) alternatives to ahref and semrush tools?

I know I could google them, but then there are all these affiliate promotions and biased reviews, so I thought someone with practical knowledge could shed a light.

I believe them to be excellent tools in terms of competition research and all that, but the price is just too high to pay every month... considering I'm just a beginner in SEO and my budget is rather limited.

Or do you think it's worth to pay 100 bucks every month for this? if so, which one is better in your opinion for SEO purposes ( no paid traffic will be used any time soon I think ).

All opinions are welcome. Thanks

Just use the free version of both. When you sign up you'll get a couple of researches for free. That should be enough as a beginner. I use KWFinder in combination to both (there's also a free version).

So in your experience, free versions + kwfinder is enough for a thorough research?

I personally find SEMrush to be the most valuable. We use the paid version in tandem with Google Keyword Planner and Moz. It's well worth the price. I have tried many of the smaller ones but not found many worth using.

Just stay away from UberSuggest, or for that matter any site that recommends it!

Use a group-buy service. You can get access to all the popular tools for a fraction of the price.

Well, try it out. I think it should be enough, although I can hardly quantify "thorough research". Just spread your research across multiple days so you don't get limited. Once you get more advanced and need more resources you can still buy a subscription.

Is there a reason for which you prefer SEMrush over ahref?

and if it's no secret, what's so bad about UberSuggest? I mean, i've come across a loooooot of people who recommend using it :S Even have it in my list of tools lol

It definitely is while you're learning to use them. You don't want to be paying while you learn

Well, just don't want to set up myself for a failure straight away. And as you can imagine, since there are so many tools available, it's pretty difficult to choose which are the ones that provide credible data :x

I honestly thought about this, but my concern is that you get limited searches and I'm kinda worried about other users seeing your search history? What's your opinion about it?

you have to pay simple you get what you pay for .

if you can not afford the correct tools no point doeing seo.

just the domains and links needed will cost you in there hundreds monthly for any website to get to the top .

do a afflate method to get a income .

sorry but internet marketing espacally seo cost a dam lot of money

if you ant got $350 avarage monthly to spend then you in real trouble .

unless you do other methods to get the seo money .

with seo you need the best tools to just survive , you can test the tools but i dont think your get enough time to do a full project , there only on test mode not full user project mode.

depends who you go with , find a proper place and anythink you do just delete your entrys .

but being honest it wont make any diffrence your content will protect your website as duplicate not allowed so why worry .

getting a good provider what matters .

group buy are the best way , your save thousands easly.

there no other way or dont survive .

you can try serpstat.com , but ahrefs is the top in this domain

Don't use groupbuy sites as others will see what you are searching on the accounts. You need private trial accounts. You can get a vcc and register the accounts yourself or have someone do it for you. Contact @Meddie and he will be able to help you.

ahrefs only good for backlinks , checking pbn .

you need to use a combination of apps to get good results.

ahreff
moz
majestic
longtail pro
semrush
kwfinder
copyscape
aiword

all the above will get you proper results , but you need to master the stats to understand the services .

example

best kw score for indexing is
kwfinder .

the best score for spam on a domain is:
majestic

as you can see as a seo exspert you learn the correct tool that work

remember most things are based of free adwords and google is big g .

there a lot to master in tolls to success.

took my over a year to learn the one's posted above .

then there socail stats to study.

just keyword research is a massive part of study , it can tell you even your predicted conversion once you learn it properly, but takes a long time to understand to get instant fast results .

seo for life.

the reason seo for life becouse google algo changes and a seo exspert needs to change with the new updates and features and rules .

Like i say it all very hard work, but very possable with deep study.

ahrefs is great for backlink/SEO research. I find SEMrush is a lot better for both tracking rankings and for paid keyword research. It is also important to not ignore Google Keyword Planner, as long as you're running it from an actively funded account.

@redarrow thank you for your input.

But do I understand you correctly? Are you saying that even for smaller affiliate sites, SEO requires tons of money to be worth it? As in, I shouldn't even bother with it if I am a beginner and don't have tons of money to invest every month? If so, then this is super discouraging :x

a lot of metrics are all spoofed so using a combination of the best seo tools get best results .

last comment from me ...

indexing know days takes a long time becouse google algo structure .

example only

to index a normal website in google can take 3 to 8 months fully indexed .

indexing of keywords can take anythink from 0 to 4 months, to been seen in the serp.

blackhat seo indexing can take a lot quicker but cost a lot in pbn's

nope just being honest about it all in a nut shell the honest truth.

i am just telling you as a person doing 3 to 4 projects a month my own life and findings .

everyhink your doing as a begineer the same as me, i just no the tools nothink diffrent .

i am being very honest ask anyone , what i have said is real talk.

afflicate with seo method for a fast result impossable these days .

for long term income it perfect seo.

but for quick money you need to learn a good method without seo

example

video marketing .
socail marketing .
email campains
spam posting.
group posting

paid traffic.

adwords
bing
fb paid ads

them methods dont need seo and a lot of ppl do go that route.

i am sorry but unfortunately internet marketing has turned into money.

there not much left for free methods to earn , very sorry but very true .

you might be lucky finding a few bucks daily with a free methods but your have to spend it to do anyhtink better in the internet marketing world .

a lot of people dont bother untill retired or working and using savings with internet marketing .

it all cost unfortunatly

a lot of people moan about it costing , i also agree over the 2 years been very exspensive for any begineer to earn, the good old days of just placing links and spamming have all gone , google keep changing rules and to keep up cost for programs and exspensive methods to earn.

to be a begineer these days you need a useable monthly income .

I believe you. I know SEO is a very difficult game ( as opposed to what it used to be 5-10 years ago ). I'm not looking to make money without investing anything. But at this point, I'm not sure what's the better alternative to raise bigger capital for this venture. I do have some money to invest ( although in terms of IM, I think it's rather low ), but I also have a shit load of time on my hands.

Do you suggest go other way and raise money by doing something else and come back to SEO with more money? Or did I miss a point ?

Just for the records, I'm not looking into those porn uploading and other "methods", I kinda prefer sustainability and quality over time instead of churn/burn methods.

Thanks :)
