Is there a better alternative? or is there a way to be able to download or view documents that arent available through WayBack machine?

There are alternatives but that is the best Internet Archive

Ahrefs should open up a second service to sell their archives.

They'd compete.

what is this ahrefs? never heard of it

It's not easy. Wayback machine itself is already way stretched.

About 15 years ago there used to be 1 to 2 TB of data on the WWW - so they could take snapshots. Today that's probably the amount of daily messages generated in Twitter alone.
