Most of the people knows here recent announcement of eBay about selling digital product on ebay through classified ads only. Jimmy Huber of Salehoo.com posted a nice solution at his blog....
eBay has done it again.

Yesterday they announced a massive change to digital download listings that will completely overhaul the way those of us selling eBooks do business.

From March 31, eBooks and other digital download products can no longer be listed in auction format. Instead, they must be listed as a Classified ad.

Okay, fine, you might say. Except for when we tell you that selling via Classified ads means no feedback.

Because Classified transactions take place outside of eBay, the feedback option is nullified. And this is one big ?uh-oh? for any seller trying to build a good reputation or achieve powerseller status.

For many of you, this announcement is going to come as a nasty shock.

But before you let the doom and gloom sink in, remember that survival in business means adaptation. Also from what I?ve seen over the years, every so called ?shock? in eBay, Google or any other online income source usually helps some people while hurting others.

You can use this situation to your advantage as many eBay sellers will not know what to do and will give up following this latest announcement.

Luckily for you, as a member of Sky High Auctions you?re up to date on what to do.

My first suggestion is that you list your eBooks as classified ads. You won?t be able to earn feedback points, but you?ll still get the most important thing from your eBook sales? qualified leads!

Now as far as feedback is concerned, you can still sell your eBooks (or other digital items) on CD or DVD, if you list them on eBay as a physical product.

While this does mean that you can?t automate this part of your business entirely, the upsides more than make up for it.

For starters, up-sell opportunities are now going to be tripled. Yes, tripled. Physical items are taken way more seriously by customers, so there?s going to be more chance of your other offers being viewed and actioned. And don?t let?s forget that this is actually the most important part of selling digital items anyway!

I suggest that you sell your physical product cd?s for $7 + shipping and handling (which should be pretty cheap). That equate to a similar profit after costs are taken into account, as to selling ebooks. And you should get quite a few leads out of this.

You can still sell some of your physical products at higher prices (e.g. a 5 cd pack on self hypnosis for $30+ etc), but in general, as taught in the Sky High Auctions lessons, you?ll want to sell this kind of package on the backend, after selling someone a lower priced product. These leads are invaluable.

For those of you doing big digital product business and worried about the time required to burn and ship CDs, you can outsource this to Disk.com or you can check out a solution offered by our friend Dave: he teaches you how to create an auto-run CD and get someone to burn and drop ship them for you! Nice one Dave ? we like anything that gets other people to do our work for us.

You can find Dave?s awesome Quick & Easy Info Product Creation Guide right here

There?s no doubt about it: this is a pretty big shake up for all of us digital product sellers. But we?re very excited about the solutions we?ve put in place and can only wait with baited breath to see how the results pan out in our bottom line over the coming weeks.

i just think its so funny that all of those gurus out there who run there own membership websites for like unlimited ebooks n shit are going to be out of busness like john thornhill

oh yeah and that dude socrates socratoes, im sure you all heard of him, he has this software which he definitely USED to make mad money from, its an autoresponder for ebay to send people there digital product through email, hes totalyl going to be out of business HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

jdock1 Glad you enjoyed your laugh at the expense of John Thornhill and
Socrates, it just shows what a moron you are, first both those guys worked their butts off to be successful on ebay, what have you ever done?

It also tells me you know jack sh-t about internet marketing, did you forget that both those guys have bulit huge lists that they can market to every day if they wish and still make more than enough money.

And finally just to let you know John Thornhill makes more money offline in direct mail than he ever did online , l don't normally react to comments like yours , but you sound so glad that other people could suffer and lose money, sure your not the taxman.

Interesting thought that some people revel in others misery I suppose it takes all sorts.

Anyway you can get disks done at Kunaki (http://www.kunaki.com)
and they do all the shipping and everything
(they cost $1.75 including DVD box and stuff) does any one know of a piece of software that will automate this process and link with Kunaki and payment link.

If we want to find opportunity in this any one able to come up with a program that does this is on a good thing especially if they link it with eBay system.

If any programmer is able to do this I would be intrested in a JV creating this.

Lets not be down if we do this right we get to sell for less fee's and physical products always command more cash anyway.

One interesting question is does a website constitute a digital product? What about software or is this just ebooks.

Just my 10 cents worth on the subject

no, im not a moron, and your right, i know jack shit about guru marketing, because its all bullshit. get a real fucking job instead of selling computer codes
flabby mother fuckers sit at there computers all day eatin fuckin bon bons selling these pointless, misleading "ebooks"
ripping the working class off

its just funny when shit like that happens, they all braggin n shit like there shit dont stank on how rich they are for selling digital bullshit

it does suck tho about the whole classifed ads thing, because i know i did take advantage of getting feedback that way

Ad copy and direct mail is where its at. Don't get me wrong, email campaigns are just as successful. If anyone wants to make A TON of money with WH methods, buy a book about Ad Copy. A good book is "The Ultimate Sales Letter". The best book I have ever read.

Yes, Mike Filsaime's CD / DVD Automator Script

... and your point is?

jdock1 first thanks for your reply, you seem so upset and angry with the world, perhaps you'd get a little further spreading some honey and helping folks instead of having a downer on them.

You can still get a great feedback and since the change with ebay l can tell you profits have shot up now people have been made to think about how they market on ebay. It's down to the change in digital downloads thats got rid of thousands of cowboys that were purely selling on price which is the worst thing you can do anyway.

jdock1 if you need a helping hand here's a little tip that you can do today and evryday without much competition. Just go along to iranjava forum choose the plr forum and download as much up to date plr products as you can handle, then if you want to double your profits its really easy, all you do is simply sell them on ebay as a cd sale and you can also sell them offline in the business opportunity guides or use direct mail as its unlikely you will have very little competition offline.

I have been using that simple forumula for the past two years and my testing and results show my offline earnings are 60% higher than online for the same plr product.

hahahahaha this is kinda true and quite funny

Don't know if anyone is following this thread still, but...

Socrates has reworked his product to automate the delivery process via Kunaki and (I think) another drop-ship DVD production company. So it now does all the order automation and forwards this to Kunaki.

He had this done within about 60 days of ebay going nuts (at least the no-digital-sales nutty decision).

I'm not in love with the guy but he has made a few hundred thousand dollars in the last few years. He's gotta be doing something right. And he did it without charging $7000 to come to a daisy-chain circle-jerk guru BJ workshop. Not that I begrudge Kern his dollars...
