Alternative options for sharing data?

I just wanted to ask whether is there any alternative to google docs as I don't trust it. So, are any options available for sharing data like something of free online notepad which is protected with password and accessible to only those who have the right permission to do so. All answers are welcome.

Thank you Blackhat Lifter. I am currently using https://anotepad.com, however I will definitely look into your recommendations.
