Is Moz considered a good alternative for Majestic for checking back links?
If not can you recommend any other website that has a free trial.
I tried semrush but I am not very satisfied.

None that are free because they need to cover server costs

Majestic shows the most backlinks, including the most low quality links that might be devalued by Penguin 4.0

Moz OSE shows the least amount of links, and typically shows links of the highest quality... or maybe they just have the least active crawler

Ahrefs is my personal favorite and seems to be somewhere in between Majestic and OSE

Another tool I really like is cognitiveSEO. It has a very robust crawler and an awesome visual matrix of your backlink profile.

When I analyze a backlink profile, I'm lucky to have several tools at my disposal and they all show a different amount of referring domains. I typically use the info in Google Search Console as the overarching determining factor when reviewing my backlinks.

+1 for Ahrefs. It works cool to find the backlink status of my site. Try this mate.

My best suggestion is also Ahrefs.
