Hello all. I must say that I was very excited to find this forum somewhat at random. To be honest I had searched for a forum like this but the results were a bit tainted and filled with junk. But I'm here now and very glad for finding it.

I started down the dark path via freelance writing. After losing my full time job (with over 5 years down the drain) I decided to give my writing a real go. Since I was aiming to write for money as opposed to just for fun I knew that I wouldn't be doing exciting things with my writing. I started working through a content mill and have made a few dollars there. My work there exposed me to marketing and article generating which by and by lead me to the affiliate marketing world.

I've already been suckered a few times by scammy jobs or pay per click campaigns that never pay. I recently ran into a resource that kind of changed the way I look at things. I won't name it but it had to do with automating the process of building multiple page sites for SEO type stuff.

Now I'm still a total newblet but this stuff seems to have promise. It makes sense and it doesn't rely upon getting other people to do the same thing.

I would very much appreciate some input on heading in the right direction. I have no money to invest at this point but may in the future. Anyway, not looking to buy, looking to learn first.

My thought is that I need to arrange some form of hosting and a content source (generated or spun or... whatever) and just start building pages for adsense or clickbank offers or affiliate programs. I have some areas that I am interested in (trying to promote things I had no interest in always left me feeling a bit greasy) and a general understanding of the tools available.

If I am not mistaken, clickbank itself is an affiliate system? So if someone referred me to clickbank they would get some credit? I've just started to read up on that side of things so I am willing to 'be referred' for constructive advice.

Random sidenote on investing in programs: At one point in my adventures I was a bit frustrated and posted an ad explaining that if any marketer had confidence that their system was reliable and made money then they should have no problem paying for my entry. After all, you are making sooo much off of it already right? And me being 'in your line' would benefit you right? So why not pay for my entry? Or transfer whatever payment is required to my paypal?

    No replies. *shrug*

Anyway.... that's my intro. I'm not one for one liners.
    Cheers

Well... at first I felt a bit rejected having no replies then I found out about the limit on introduction replies. Okay, I understand. You have to be careful with your valuable replies. Gotcha. :p

But I really would appreciate some form of input. I realize as a newb I'm a bit all over the place. That's kinda the problem. I see a lot of advice that says "Just read around the forums and you'll learn". No doubt that is 100% true. Even just over this weekend browsing the forums I have learned quite a bit and gotten many decent ideas.

So let me ask some more specific questions based on what I have learned already.

I know some of you look down upon the whole e-whoring thing but as I mentioned in my initial introduction I have zero to invest. So it seems like a great place for me to start and earn some investment loot.

    Related to the e-whoring biz:
    1. Does anyone have any CPA offers (or anything else) that lend themselves well to this?
I have one dating site that I found and I guess that would work okay especially since it has a payout for free memberships. (To me it seems like it would be easy as hell to generate a lot of free signups, but... ye know... newb = dumB)

    2. Do I need to concern myself with proxy services or otherwise cloaking myself? This stuff is kinda foreign to me, I understand the concept but have never used anything like it.

    3. I am looking for a good email service. Doesn't exactly have to be an autoresponder, just something that will allow me to send to multiple recipients without letting them know it's a mass email. Also would love to find an email scraper that can search multiple pages. I have a site that ever so kindly displays everyone's email address ripe for the plucking. Just need something to harvest. Currently I have a tool that will extract the addresses but it must be done one page at a time. (Can't complain for free though :) )

    4. Also looking for something to help with ad submission. I know there are a million and one "AdBlaster Uber 9.5" things out there but I've also experienced how quickly they go out of date. Hence asking for a current recommendation. I'd like to be able to post multiple ads across CL as well but I'm not sure how to go about getting multiple accounts without spending money.

Yes I do read the forums. I've been reading as much as possible ever since I found the place. The problem I'm encountering with the "Just read" theory is that there is wayyyyyy too much. (That's a good thing though.) With every new thread I read about 5 more ideas pop into my head. That's great and all but I'd like to get at least one of those ideas operational and putting money in my account.

I almost made the mistake of advertising freelance services until I caught the warning about the requirements to post. Sadly I couldn't find the "Eager Apprentices Seeking Guidance" area otherwise I would have posted there.

Well... Cheers again.. I know replying to your own thread is the epitome of lame but.... *shrug* I can be lame if that's what it takes to learn what I need to know.
