I was walking to the store a couple hours ago and I heard a scream, then looked behind me and seen an apartment on fire. So I called 911, and ran to the apartment. Without stopping to ask questions, I did what anyone would do and began to run inside to grab people, but someone grabbed me and said everybody was out, so then i beat on all of their neighbors doors and got them out safely, since the fire had gotten huge. We live right next to the pd, hospitol and fire dept. so within 2 minutes there were litterally hundreds of police, fire and ems on the scene. I went back over to talk to the apt owners, and the lady said her husband was watching tv, and her kids were sleeping and she was gone. When she pulled up she seen the flames in the kids room (the father didnt even know) but the kids bed was what caught on fire somehow. They lost everything they owned due to a christmas eve fire, but they were able to save the most important thing (their babies) If the mother didnt pull up at that exact moment, the kids wouldve died for sure. My prayers go out to them for sure.

But to lighten things up a little, Im used to being arrested everytime I see a cop, but atleast for once in my life an officer walked up to me just to thank me, and I gotta say it made me feel all mushy lol :D

You did the right thing by calling the police and helping people out.

I recently heard that some apartment building about 30 miles from my place got chimney fire and everything was destroyed.

Thanks :D Sometimes I wonder if god put me here to fight fires or something lol, when I was 12 years old, right after thanksgiving I woke up to my house on fire and pulled my grandma out, then right before christmas the same year, I was walking my dog before school and seen the neighbors house on fire and pulled out 3 little girls. But it always seems to be this time of year which is the saddest part :(

You did a brave job. Not many people are willing to risk their lives to save others - they prefer to be passive watchers. God will bless you with bountiful rewards. Merry Christmas!

Fires are crazy, my ex's house just burned and she lost pretty much everything. I hope they had renters insurance and I'm glad to hear that everyone made it out of there alive, that's the most important part.
