I've been testing out several different methods the past few weeks. This one I found interesting:

Old domain but new site.
Setup 20 inner pages and indexed them using through google webmaster tools (this is a test, I know it's probably not a good idea to use this tool otherwise).
Low competitive keywords, all pages ranked instantly after being indexed. Most were already on the 2nd and 3rd page.
Blasted the shit out of 10 of those inner pages. Won't say what kind of links (at least not until i'm done fully testing), but will say they don't stick and are usually removed within a day or less. I've seen these same links rank parasites for days, sometimes weeks.
Indexed the links above.

What happened? After indexing, the inner pages I blasted were all on the first page. Couple hours later, completely gone. Pages I didn't blast are right where they were before.

Two weeks later? Still gone and the pages I didn't blast are still in the same position.

So, I'm curious to know why they ranked so quick (within hours) only to be completely removed. Why would google rank them at all?

I'm guessing there is something in the algo that catches stuff like that. Who knows, if we did know we'd all be billionares.
