Allow OP to add new content to initial post

Many share "how to", "ask me anything... " posts and often times new contents or updates needs to be added to the initial post. if possible allow the OP to add new content to the initial post: You can have him prevented to edit the initial post after few min like you do now, but allow him to add new content like a threaded post.

That is a security issue to allow that. Better not.

i am not asking to allow OP to edit the original post, but to allow him to add additional text as threaded comments underneath...

I think I know what you're talking about here. Basically, give the OP the option to have a sticky post of sorts below their opening post that they can freely update. I've seen something similar done on other forums.

I'll run this by the team and the forum owner and bring it up to them when I get a chance.
