Hello everyone, i recently started my amazon/ebay dropshipping journey and now im thinking to start advertise free return on my listings and then sending directly amazon return modules to buyers.
Do you think its a good idea to score more sellings or its better leave return on buyers charge?

I only give free return labels if the item is damaged or not as described.

I think if you advertise free return labels for all purchases you may get a lot of customers buying stuff just to see if they like it and returning it on a whim, Az will only take so much of that before they get pissed off and boot you for a too high returns percentage.

I think its a bad idea for the same reasons as @lewwy789

Better trying to make sure you can advertise your product well enough that not many people would want to return it.

You should allow free return, you'll get like what, 5 refunds out of 100 orders?
That's the baseline for keeping an amazon account in good condition.

eBay will change that soon...so as seller in order to gain top rated seller ....you need to offer Free Return for all your items

I'm not sure regarding Amazon rules, however as from my experience with E-Commerce, I would say that if your products have reasonable margin, offering free returns boosts sales quite heavily and if your margin is good, it is enough to cover return costs.
Also, this heavily differs on product market as if it is product that might be bought by people who have plenty of time for ordering, sending back, etc. you might get more returns, but i.e. products for people who have no time for playing such games, i.e. expensive products for higher income people, returns shouldn't increase much.

I agree with you both. Also if I saw it in a listing it would put me right off. Try not to bring attention to negative things. If its in your policy section that's fine and the people that want/need that info can find it but I would not use it as a promotion tactic in the listings.

I think it will vary massively from niche to niche but there are plenty of eBay buyers that are quite slippery, I only talk from my experience.

all aliexspress items are free return .
I think this is only for not as described/fake/damaged or if the seller decides to foot the bill for the return postage. Pretty much the same as eBay and Az.

I agree i think some niches would be a massive nightmare like clothing for eg.
Most people don't target large mark-ups with the Az to eB because competition is high but there are some exceptions.

I always give a free return for anything not right from my end but paying for return postage because a buyer has changed there mind is going to far in the buyers favour i feel.
