Most Torrent sites are now down or are going legal, what are the best alternatives it leaves to the community any ideas could be a good money making project.

Isohunt seems to be working just fine

I noticed that...and I've got to say, it is disheartening (as I haven't paid to rent a movie or listen to music in about 4 years).

Hopefully the torrent market will behave like any other one....that is, all the big boys go down and new ones spring up (I sure hope so anyway).

In the meantime, I'll just continue to use Isohunt and act as though nothings wrong, (ignorance is bliss...even selective ignorance)

Private trackers are great, but getting in can be a bitch (ask any friends, even online ones, if they'd have invites for any good ones)... Usenet is the best choice if the former is not an option. Monthly costs, sure, but then again you don't have to seed and keep a decent ratio like on torrent trackers.

im still using tpb with no problems at all.... I do miss mininova though

It's sad to see Mininova go legal.. it really is. TPB is the only giant left and even they have a court date coming in 2010.. again. So who knows what's going to happen there.

I absolutely hate uploading to TPB though because they're trigger happy when it comes to banning people and once you're banned through TPB it's a bitch to get back on. I know Demonoid used to be exclusive and awesome but honestly I haven't seen decent results from them since they came back. I would love getting back into torrents if a decent network was born/launched.
