Hello eveyone,

I have a very competitive keyword that I am working on improving my google rank for.
So, what I did is that I created about 6 sites, targeting the same keyword and some long tail keywords, but the thing is, even though I have 3 hosting providers, so lets say that each host has 2 sites, I still use the same google account for analytics and webmaster tools. Is it smart? can google know that all the sites are for one owner and then might lower score "penalty" for the sites? Or they do not care about this.

I am confused, some might think, hey use different google account for each analytics, but I would really hate that and unless I have to I would love to avoid that.

Please, whats your thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance.

Google for sure knows they all belong to you if you have put them all in your WMT, that being said there is nothing against Google Terms of service on owning multiple websites. Just make sure they are all serving quality content. You might have put yourself on the radar a bit more having 6 similar sites but I dont think changing the sites to different google accounts would be smart or helpful at this point.

Just my 2 cents ( I dont have direct experience with that many sites in wmt)

Goodluck

I agree with mountain of this, 6 sites with similar content in one GMT account, ummm, a bit fishy isnt it? But you are good in a range scope, question is, we dont know the range.

Yes it's not recommended to have more then one site on each WMT. Better safe then sorry!

Thanks all for your help. I will make sure each account does not have similar niche targeting same keyword sites, but a couple of sites for different niches should be ok I assume.

Good luck for everyone with their business.

Nope that is a terrible idea, even if you have different niches.

Lets say one of your site got reviewed and it wouldn't pass manual review, the rest might be reviewed as well. Don't risk it.

I dont have multiple sites linked to a GWT account but I do have some linked to the same analytics account.

One of the websites was penalized but it didn't effect the other 5 sites.

I don't think it's a wise choice. Why would you leave footprints, OP?

I will not add any more sites to this WMT account, you are right I will not switch some of them to different account. Thx..

Yup, I should've thought of that before, I don't know what I was thinking specially that I have tons of gmail accounts.

The Big Brother is watching...
Don't forget that!

lol... yup damn the big brother.. :D

In not smart, use proxies and different accounts.

Proxies too? I'm lazy man and you are making it more difficult for me... :D

After reading all the comments to this thread, I will have each site on one google account and this account for both analytics and GWT.

I've been an online marketer for more than 10 years, but I always relied on landing pages/advertising, but now I started building full sites lately, so all this is kinda new to me.

better don't use WMT and Gg analytics, just use other analytics.

The problem is that nothing is as good as google analytics, but it's not the first time I see someone advising against using it. But I have to use WMT, it's a very powerful indexing/troubleshooting tool.

Thanks all for your help, I wish each and everyone of you great success in your business.
