Have seen in last 3-4 days my sites dropping like he** anyone else seeing big g penalties?

here not - from what I can see that I ****ing hate those google maps url.. in some keywords they are rank higher than me - how to over rank them ? More BLS?

yes it is a bi***, don't know if it is something i did or just the g-dance.. See what everyone says

tell us more about your domain - if your domain is like 1 month ago and some of your links dropped then you will drop.

Hi xenoxen
yes all the sites are new. have been climbing steady over the last 2 months, then they sort of got stuck on pages 2-4. now some have dropped off the map. some moved back about 30 and the other are holding on.. maybe 1-2 jump forward. seeing better results in bing and yahoo. there they have jumped up well.

- check backlinks
- check one more time with MS
- do you host them on same IP?
- do you link from site 1 to site 2 etc. ?
- do you use same template?

wow some really great questions.. you are bing on with
1host, yes linking from one site to other- yes same template. Sites have been run through SB but not too much. have tried to vary links.. ie articles, forum, sb comments, linking from each site, web2

wanna know something funny? I've been putting off making a thread like this for the last 3 weeks. I'd read the replies, look at my sites with their disappearing pages and invisible links...

Hell, I watched as a competitor's frickin' ARTICLE jump from number 19 to NUMBER TWO AND THEY DID NOTHING AT ALL. Meanwhile, my site started dropping from #2 to... let's just say it dropped.

Then, I noticed something while using Market Samurai a few hours ago... For some strange and unbeknown reason, G00g had been sticking and removing the "www." from in front of my domains AT RANDOM and then ranking them based on the difference in the web address!

I'm looking at a site right now... one page indexed, seven damn backlinks. That's a HUGE drop from the 34 indexed pages, 142 backlinks, edu and gov links. Take the "www" off and throw it in MS like it's SUPPOSED to be, and there's all the correct info.

Now, I'm not saying this could be everyone's case... but maybe some of you cats should check into it.

@workingwhileworking

there is a script which you should put in httaccess to rewritte urls.
Google will index pages with www and without it. Do you think that should help?

btw. Do I understand correctly - goog drops your urls because indexed them without 'www' and all your links are with 'www' right ?

lol it was the other way around. I just bit the bullet and registered them all under goog webmasters and requested they indexed them WITH the www. Then I threw some goog robots at them.

We'll see how/if it affects anything. Like I said, I'm not gonna claim that what happened to me happened to everybody. Just a bit of weirdness.

before I used MS and noticed what was going on, I never heard of such a thing making a difference with anybody's sites. go figure.

try use this script

Code:
RewriteEngine On

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(?<!www\.)([a-z]+\.com)$ [NC]
RewriteRule /(.*) http://www.%1/$1 [R=permanent,L]

but don't think that would cause a drop in rankings? I am using rank tracker and also checking manually big g. They have def. gone down massivly in last 4-5days.

My SERPs doesn't drop. I smell some thing weird because when I logged in to my google webmaster tools. It's redirect me to spam report page. What the he** is that?

yes got the same thing. Looks like they are chasing down a few bad apples.
maybe that has something to do with it as well.

I just started a similar thread, I have 6 pages, some don't even show up in the top 1000. I'm trying to remain calm but I'm also looking for some answers.

My traffic has decreased in the last few weeks for all my sites, I'm talking about organic traffic and sites are on various niches. I think instant search is affecting long tail keywords big time.

from my observation in the last 24-48h I saw that big G changed a bit. Google maps positions in google rangings are different. Map is on the right and results on left.

Same thing happen to me. A batch of my MFA site that rank on easy keyword for top 10, suddenly no where to be found. The sites still index by google, but ranking all drop. It happens just in one day. I am still trying to figure out is this google penalty or update of google algorithm.

I have problem with one site of mine as well. For example I'm on the 1st page for 1 keyword one day and then 2-3 days I am nowhere. Then I'm again on 1st page and so on. But there are no some specific pattern. My site just pop-up and disappear for no reason. It lasts some month and a half ...

i just heard from a friend that works with epik dot com and he said that 40% of all of their sites have been de-indexed in the last 3 days because they were all linked together and google didnt like their massive linkwheel lol, i dont know if that has anything to do with everything else that is happening atm, but google is definitely up to something
