We all know that no one is going to share their working method for ranking, getting into suggested, trending or high natural views...which leads me to wonder how much of the recent advice and information on this forum actually still works? Is it a case of most people are only sharing methods that are now outdated...?

I have been testing methods found on this forum for around 2 months (Properly optimizing SEO, boosting views, likes, shares, comments, in a way to look as natural as possible, embedding on appropriate forums etc) and still I'm struggling to get any organic traffic, other than from the forums I embed on. I know I'm not alone in this situation.

I know there is a "secret sauce" and I know it won't be shared, but it would be helpful if we could all agree what no longer works.
Some say unlisted still works, others say it doesn't.
So please comment which of the methods (that you're willing to share) still work and which you've tried that seem to add zero value.

Hopefully we can all help to build a picture of what is worthwhile doing and what is a waste of time when it comes to pleasing the algorithm!

Thanks.

I think there are always people willing to see others succeed. They may not share the ultimate secrets that they are using now. But the basics remain the same. When people share their experiences, it helps the group to see where to incline. My two cents.

From being in BHW I see that most people won't give out the sauce but will definitely explain as much as they can as long as they see you're close.

Many of the methods people discuss here actually do work. The problem is, people are either not executing on these methods properly, or they are using them for the wrong purpose.

For example, you can create a live event or premiere a video and boost them with livestream views or pre-premiere waiting viewers (will cost $1-$3 / 1K from smm panels) to instantly rank in a top position for most very low and low comp keywords, and some medium and high competition keywords. The method works very well. But, these videos will drop their rankings once the viewers leave. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of different uses for an instant #1 ranking that holds for a few hours. There are also ways to incoroprate such techniques into a long term ranking strategy. However, as with any video ranking campaign you need to factor in your goals, budget, expected revenue for each possible result, chance of generating psoitive return on investment, etc. to determine whether such a method will be worth it. In most scenarios, you shouldn't spend the extra $5-$30 to try to boost a premiered/live video.

What people do is, they see that there is a method for instantly ranking a video, and it's possible to use that method to rank in the #1 position. Some people will try the method, succeed, then see their video drop to page 20 by the next day and complain that the method doesn't work. Some people will try the method, fail because they didn't optimize properly on page or used a bad views service and complain that the method doesn't work. Some will do everything right and fail because no method works 100% of the time and they were unlucky, then complain that the method doesn't work.

It might look like people are sharing outdated methods when in fact the methods are fine, it's just that people complain about them not working because they lost money and time and are pissed off; whereas the people who succeed with a method don't waste time replying to a thread saying 'it worked, thanks' because they are focused on optimizing their strategy, creating new content, testing other methods, etc.

I know there is a "secret sauce" and I know it won't be shared, but it would be helpful if we could all agree what no longer works.
As a general rule, there is no secret sauce and if there was, it wouldn't be a secret for long because someone would share it.

A marketer who's focus is ranking videos on Google for local business keywords will have developed a strategy for keyword research, lead generation, video creation, on page SEO, and off page SEO, which they are constantly changing and improving as Google changes the way they rank content. They don't have a secret sauce, but succeed because they spend a lot of time learning how everything works and tweaking how they do things. If an algorithm update affects their strategy's results, they have to find a different way to do what is no longer working. Once they find that new way, they will continually tweak it for as long as it works.

They are successful because they have a high level of understanding of every aspect of their work which allows them to make the most of every variable they can control. They have a refined, precise strategy for ranking videos; not necessarily a 'secret sauce'.

Some say unlisted still works, others say it doesn't.
The unlisted method isn't really a thing anymore. As far as I am aware, there won't be a difference in results with making a video public then boosting views, likes, etc. and boosting a video while it's unlisted then making it public. In both scenarios, a video will lose the position it gets relatively quickly (unless you get lucky). If you want a temporary instaly high ranking, I'd recommend the live event or premiere boosting methods instead of the unlisted method.

So please comment which of the methods (that you're willing to share) still work and which you've tried that seem to add zero value.

Hopefully we can all help to build a picture of what is worthwhile doing and what is a waste of time when it comes to pleasing the algorithm!
Check my replies to threads from yesterday. I outlined a few basic ways to execute on view, like, etc. boosting strategies. Don't have time to write a detailed reply to this question right now, lol.

Thank you for such a detailed reply. I often see your responses and they give me hope that it is doable and not a massive waste of my time.
I think my main problem is finding a reliable panel for drip feed NRV, likes, comments and subs. I will continue testing out pannels and see if I can find some that can provide the service I am looking for. As well as keep tweaking my strategy!

Will also continue to follow your posts and replies closely. Thanks so much

every single method from old days today works with good traffic , just need to update with a twist .

youtube and socail are best winner for traffic .

once you learn kw research, and how to get good heigh traffic, it all easy any method .

Something's are outdated but need a twist others are new and get banned. This is a rapidly changing market. You need to bring your own secret sauce to everything or you make generic cash, the twist is what makes that $100 a month idea $3000 in the end. This site gives you plain waffles, you need to turn it into a waffle cone and have everyone wanting your ice cream. Whiles everyone else is looking for shitty waffle traffic. It's all in how you see it and interpret it, get creative.

I know a guy who got braided steal cable for dirt cheap and added a lock on the end for laptops. Made hundreds in his basement and sold every foot of that cable for like 15$

Go forth young grasshopper

People can show you the door, but no one is gonna handover the Key.
Finding that key on your own is the thing.
You are supposed to take the information, implement it, and see what works for you, and then add some twists to make it work better.

Just don;t look for shortcuts to the "Event".
Event is the success, the end goal, the acheivement.
But to reach there you have to go through the "process". The ones who fail are the ones only looking at the event, without willing to go through the process.

P.S: If I was you, and I was new into the thing. I won;t be trying to play the system. I would be trying to first learn how to work within the system. Once, I master that, then I would go about tricking it.
So, let go of unlisting, or sending views and what not, and why not trying a completely organic approach at first?

Most threads has enough sauce to help IM initiatives in one way or another. Of-course the usability of the info depends on experience in handling such methods. There's only few posts i could perceive well, investing time on reading those does help a lot in learning. Its better to learn yourself rather than reading some ebooks for marketing incase of IM.

get creative, find your own twist, and try-iterate-iterate-iterate-....
BHW gives a lot of way to earn money, just to be creative ;)

there are no really secrets here, what used to work in ranking still does, but since YouTube changed stuff rankings are not permanent, anyway like mentioned above Instant ranking is available for live streams but to use is correctly in order to get positive ROI you need to choose your niche very carefully

That's such a sweet reply that's given me a lot of food for thought. Thanks you!

If you think this forum has outdated stuff you better go through the stuff on WF and see for yourself lol

Thanks for your reply. I don't think my niche fits in well with the live stream method to be honest :(
But I'm going to keep on tweaking all aspects of my approach until I find a method that works for me. I must admit that now I know that the methods shared on the forum do still work, I feel a lot more confident about spending time putting my own twist onto them! :)

There no secret sauce! testing is the key. Personally i'm changing strategies like every 4 days.

Thanks for that advice! I have a mind full of ideas but I guess I was just afraid that I'd be going down the wrong path. For now I'm going to continue tweaking and testing!

I find it reassuring that there is no secret sauce! Means that with enough testing and tweaking I could very well discover a method that works for me...of course even when that happens it will constantly need more tweaking with algorithm changes, but I'm feeling a lot more confident now! Thank you :)

Honestly speaking there is no any secret of making money. It all starts with you and ends with you. Just think about it and you will start making money..

Thanks for this advice! I have tried the organic approach in 2012, it actually did quite well and I sold my channel in 2016. Of course what worked well in 2012 holds little value now.
But I think you're on to something, maybe I should do the organic approach again before jumping straight to sending views etc...

You're right. It needs to come from me being consistent and constantly changing my approach until I find a way that works! It's so easy to feel dejected when you spend a lot of time and it doesn't work out, I need to push past feeling let down and keep moving forward!
Thanks for your reply!
