Siteground optimizer was really pleasant last time I used it on a members website here on the forum, W3 is a bit complex for anyone new to WordPress. Also, checkout Perfmatters as a compliment, here. There is a good video on it, here.

It needs improvements, use Perfmatters and your cache plugin to adjust it. Getting indexed is another ballgame, you can have a fast page, but hard to index anyway. Check the SEO section in the forum about indexation.
