All my Links are Gone, no data available says Google

I had over 1600 links to a fairly young site. Yesterday I did a few edu and gov backlinks of which some had PR 2 and 3. I pinged them of course as well. Today in webmasters tools, there are no links showing to my site. Has anyone had this happen and what do you think will be the result? Most of the links were from a Xrumer blast but a lot of them were from manual bookmarking and forum profiles.

Be patient dude, wait for a few more days and stop using xrumer to blast directly to your money site, because it will hurt more than help on your ranking, blast it to your web 2.0's articles etc.

FYI - I am sure that most of the people on here are going to tell you to keep building links. Which is what you should do.

The site is going into its 5th month and is PR1 still. 2 weeks ago I was on page 8 for 342 million results. haven't checked rank today.

Yeah, I think a little patience is in order here. I just wanted to know if this happens a lot and later the links re-appear.

Today, out of the 1600 or so links that were gone, 583 of them showed up again. All the time they were gone I was still ranking for my keywords. As late as yesterday I was on the 11 page for a term having 402 million results. Once the partial links showed up, my site is nowhere to be found. this may be a noob question but do you think the rest of my links will show again. I'm a little nervous that Google doesn't think the others are good enough to be recognized.

I had planned to do some article marketing with AMR to push my site a little further up in ranking but now I'm depressed. Losing 1000 links is tough.

you might as well ignore GWT, it only ever shows a small amount of backlinks. Pay more attention to your rankings, if your moving up then you know google is crawling your links.

Well, GWT used to show over 1600 backlinks for me. I've been patient and have seen 600 links return and for a while I was still ranking anywhere between page 8 and page 35, but in the last few days I can find my site anywhere. To make matters worse, I recently got some very strong edu and gov links but still no sign of my site in the top 1000 pages. I'm beginning to hate Google doing sht and not a word of explanation.
