All Methods are Dead...

All too often people will spin their wheels to find a fast and easy way to make money...but in reality, they end up spending just as much time if not more trying to make that quick buck than if they did it the "hard" way.

The small thinkers will come here, learn a few cool tricks, earn some quick cash and then eventually get a W2 job. On the other hand, the big dreamers and thinkers will run the business that those W2 employees are working at.

If you have any doubts about what I say, read that book, Rich Dad Poor Dad.

It will enlighten your understanding of the traditional education system. Hint hint...it was devised by a bunch of rich dudes who wanted to train good little employees to work for them and make them more rich!

I've tried to be a W2 employee...I can't do it...I end up becoming too smart for my own good. Although being self employed has it's huge headaches, I must admit, at the end of the day, you have a piece of pride that can't be beat.

Thanks

When the term 'method' is used, that means its not stable and cannot be guaranteed long term and has no inherent value, therefore it must be raped full out fast and dirty. Just 1 click of switch from google or CL and it could be gone and you will be back in here looking for a new 'method'. Real businesses use words like strategy and product line, equity and assets, not method.

Its great you are earning a million dollars a minute, all the power to you, but thats not inspirational or motivational if you come here to chastise everyone about it. Everyone has their own ways of getting where they want to go. You tell me you never had one stumbling block or got frustrated on your way? Its only natural.

Correct, methods are used as part of a strategy. You build a portfolio of methods to feed into longer term strategies. (ppc, software, blogs, offline businesses, ect)

However the assumption that to utilize a method correctly is to try to pillage every single opportunity you find has flaws. Its better to spend a few weeks or even a couple months perfecting something, a good method will typically last 6 months or even years without need for updating if you do it right.

You can try to make all your money off one method in a month, but if you use a more long sighted strategy you will make that over and over for months and years.

Theres a thin line between bold and wreckless. Any time youre not thinking months and years ahead before taking an action, your being the latter.

Casey Stengel said, " show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser"

There are many reasons why folks don't get motivated to change and if you can write THAT ebook you got a best seller. Fat folks don't want to change. Smokers don't want to change. Why? Because lazy is easy and change is hard and until you get that and say fuck it I'm doing it anyway.....you will always have an excuse why this or that did not work. If you want to change your life you gotta change your mind first!

Congrats OP. Keep rockin' it on CL

I like when people cry that a method doesn't work. It gives me something to resurrect in 6 months because almost everyone else has moved on.

Craigslist is a pain no matter how you look at it or do it (automated or not). Always reverifying accounts, making new accounts, spinning the mess out of an ad so you can use it over and over again without getting duplicated ads. If you can provide a service to the people on CL, do it for yourself. Once you see money rolling in and can afford to hire someone to do the same thing then do it. I'm sure if OP has a call center, he is providing a valuable, legitimate service and not going after email/zip submits (which is why people cry that CL is dead).

This thread just isn't about CL, it is about internet marketing in a whole.

Thanks OP - you couldn't hear it, but I applauded your post! :34:

You are absolutely right Casinojack,
People in general are lazy ass**. In my case after loosing a shitload of money due to illness, hospitals and that shit. I had to close my company and started working as an employee. I did for 2 years as a SEM executive for a huge company, just for a 3-4k a month until I got sick of it. Now i'm working at home prob 12-15 hours a day and im seeing results not as fast as I would like but i am sure they will come. If I had more money to outsource more it would be way faster the way to big $$. Only perseverance and hard work brings success and also good luck. So you lazy f***s get you ass** moving and work your ass off, then you will see results.

If you can't decide in one day, you can't decide

many people are not creative. they take a technique shared here and try to replicate it exactly. the technique then gets beat to death and becomes useless to most everyone.

i have taken techniques here and applied them to clist and made over $500 per day then got shut down by the affiliate company.

I took what worked and created a my own system. Craigslist leads are fantastic for the right offering.

errrrrrrrrr. they used to be. now its ummmm dead.

try facebook instead. create facebook profiles with hot girls, follow guys and then spam them with e-whoring...

LOL. A prime example.

I know people who make $80k/day and more. $250k/mo is good money, but if you think even that isn't realistic then just quit IM now, seriously.

Then I quit now because I know for a fact unless you are Shoemoney or one of the other 10 gurus it absolutely not possible.

So ranking #1 for a keyword or spamming facebook and twitter is going to get your "Amazon affiliate" account or Clickbank Goarticles page making $1mil a year?.......

Only people I know making that kind of money are doing it with "selling" the dream to others such as those IM gurus. Not actually doing the hard work of backlinks, SEO and creating websites and driving traffic to affiliate sites and the like.

God bless anyone that can make $80k a day but I will not believe it till I see it. And I have only seen it with the top 10 IM guys selling the dream to others and not actually practicing what they preach.

I pray that what you say is true but I will absolutely refuse to believe its Internet Marketing on Craigslist.

All the best to you and those you know...... I am just a pessimist by nature.

If you only believe it till you see it then I suggest you start working  There's billions of dollars going around the world each day, so why wouldn't you take a small portion of that? Dream big, do big. I went viral on FB for just one day and still can't believe how much cash such a silly little rumor got me.. obviously thats not consistent cash but it does show the amount of money you can rake in online. I believe it.

I'm afraid I agree only to a certain extent. While it's true that many are looking for the lazy way to do things (including myself :D), automation does have a role in productivity and efficiency. It kind of multiplies a few person's effort in the same amount of time, so I can free up some time for my beauty sleep and at the same time, cutting the costs of possibly hiring a few virtual workers to do the same job.

Couldn't agree more with the automation part. Some people are just fucking lazy. When your first working on a method it can take time, a lot of time to see the results. You might have to spend hours a day for weeks on end to get things going.

I have a friend who is always talking about automation, every new method he tries or thinks of trying he first looks to automating it! Why? Unless you know a method is going to work don't waste any time or money on automating it, do the fucking thing manually and if you can successfully automate parts of it and ensure it works the same way as it would manually then yes, go for it.

Making money online can be very hard work, people need to get out the mentality that earning a living online can be achieved with 10 minutes a day, it cannot! End of story. This isn't to say that making a living online is difficult, it doesnt have to be, don't over complicate things but at the same time be prepared to invest a great deal of time in actually applying yourself and making things happen. Be prepared to go days and weeks without earning anything but remember that hard work will pay off.

Craigslist isn't dead. There are just far easier ways for someone new to IM to earn money these days.

Craigslist is a pure economy site - course it isn't dead.

But this is a BH forum, and keeping up with one of the tightest regimes (in terms of spam prevention) on the web is not worth it for a lot of people.

I mean to use CL legit you can only have one account and only post 1 ad per 2 days.

So you are using it legit, (as you claim) and are making $500,000 a month posting 1 ad per 2 days?

There are some really soft targets out there.

CL isn't one of them

(Good of someone making 6 million bucks a year to bother telling us though :))

Never once said it was easy or happened over night. This has been going on for a few years.

I have already chatted to quite q few people form this thread and told them some tips and what they can do also

As of today, none have done anything..oh, and so you know, would not have cost them a penny..

Just goes to show what motivates people

I just think the biggest fear for people is.....change....and making real money is a change..

Not to assume anything, but I guess a person could hire someone from 250 cities in north america and pay them a few bucks a day to post one ad each day. Then there's your team, they are local to the place you are posting and won't have any account issues ever. Hire someone else to verify the posts are live and I guess you are automated. Hope for 4 or 5 conversions per day, assume $1.50 from an email submit, less your poster costs and you have a pretty nice income.

Scale that worldwide and I suppose it gets up to $250k per month.

Very well said, CJ.

It's so true.

Basic things, keep it simple, and do some hard work - that's the easy to success. There is no such thing as 'easy' money - I would know that, as I have been looking for that since quite some time now. lol.

Hmmm I work more than 10hrs a day. I spend my time split between implementing current/new ideas and learning new computer languages. I LOVE computers.

When i'm not working, I enjoy my villa in the 5* resort I live in. Sometimes between jobs I decide to goto the private beach or dive on the private reef.

I'm totally internet mobile, so you may find me coding on the beach, in the bar, or by my pool.

Sure it may be 10 or more hours a day, but that's my choice - and BTW I always have time for my perfect 10 wife, and my friends. I dont sleep much more than 4 hours a day, life's to good to waste sleeping.

THANK YOU BHW - I NEVER DOUBTED - I LEARNED - I MADE IT HAPPEN - LIFE WAS NEVER MORE AWESOME.

Life is by design and by your choice.

Could I do it in 4 hours a week - yes, but I'd miss my interwebs.

BTW: Mobility and non US/EU countries FTW.

Dude that was a great post.

I keep trying to "make bank" as you guys call it but all I have done with my 10 hour days is LOSE money rather than gain it. I can't seem to make any money at all and IM has so far made me flat broke. I know it was my decisions that caused the failure of my first 2 internet based businesses, and I know I've got to learn from these mistakes and try again, but the failure really gets me down, ya know? Sometimes my brain sabotages me and makes me think "what's the point" or "it will never happen for me, maybe for others but not for me".

I dreamed of having a life like the one you describe but it seems so far away. Hell, I would be damn pleased with $10k a month let alone the 250k that CJ describes.

100% awesome post by the OP - thank you

Very motivational - success stories always get me pumped to work harder.

Most of the haters here just {don't realize|can't believe} that 5% of IMer's are making 95% of the cash.

While I'm personally in the other group (95% of IMer's making 5% of the cash), realizing it, admitting it, and figuring out what I need to do to reach the top 5% is why I think I'm on the right path.

Thanks again!

For what its worth - and lets be honest - we all feel this way once in a while
BUT..............................

These "all is lost , woe is me" threads are typically from MLM Marketers that try and build a downline, and make residual income, and can't - so they do what they feel is the only thing left to do, blame it on the company they joined, their sponsor, and tell the world that this company or that company is a fraud - just because they are lazy idiots that don't read and learn HOW TO MARKET Online.....

I SAY THIS BECAUSE..............
I am part owner of 10 MLM companies, all running , some dead, but everyone of them have great BONUS information on HOW TO market online, do the 50,000 members I have in all these companies download these books? What do you think the percentage is?
Heres a hint: (lower than 1%)

Nuff said, good thread, nice post and I am glad someone said this IE Casinojack :)

Peace
OUT!@
