Jeez the thread was to encourage newbs.

It usually goes like this:

1. Prove concept manually
2. Grow concept to the biggest you can manually
3. Automate what you can, outsource what you cant

Sometimes if you know the variables, you can jump direct to step 3. In a lot of cases you dont need to - CJ was helping newbs by stating that.

Hmmm I work more than 10hrs a day. I spend my time split between implementing current/new ideas and learning new computer languages. I LOVE computers.

When i'm not working, I enjoy my villa in the 5* resort I live in. Sometimes between jobs I decide to goto the private beach or dive on the private reef.

I'm totally internet mobile, so you may find me coding on the beach, in the bar, or by my pool.

Sure it may be 10 or more hours a day, but that's my choice - and BTW I always have time for my perfect 10 wife, and my friends. I dont sleep much more than 4 hours a day, life's to good to waste sleeping.

Life is by design and by your choice.

Could I do it in 4 hours a week - yes, but I'd miss my interwebs.

Ever thought about time that you just invested to write up your 200 hater comment on here? Those few seconds that you just spent writing that could've been used to post a craigslist ad, post a youtube video, send out 5 facebook messages etc. which potentially could've made you $(x) (x) (x) x+

My tactic has always been to test a method manually inside and out for a few weeks, then I program it myself. I never use a tool written by someone else. If I absolutely must delegate some of the programming, I make sure they use my framework and I always review their work so I know the programming is up to my standards.

A typical method for me I will spend around 2 months developing. I write a crude alpha version just to get traffic rolling, then take my time with the major and more efficient version.

If a crude version isnt possible, I allot time for manual work along with programming while automating.

If your going to automate, thats the way you should do it. Automating shouldnt be a means to "make it easier", it should be a means to "make it passive" so you can add it to your portfolio of passive income, and then hunt for the next method.
 
Craigslist IS NOT DEAD.

So let's take the highest trends on clickbank. If you go to CL and manually search for people willing to buy it and talk to them (I mean write something, bookmark, write again) MANUALLY and make 3 sales a day (which is far too easy), you would be making 100$/a day. But then, you are so lazy, OP is right.

Definately have to agree here too.

Sometimes automation is not economically viable especially if changes are constant.

My first priority is to make a method passive, my second priority is to optimize the method to make the most out of it, and third priority is to move on to the next.

If something keeps changing and I get hung up on programming automation, then I evaluate if the profits are enough to hire someone to manually maintain the method. If so, I hire someone and maybe even hire a programmer to maintain things, if not, I move on.
 
When the term 'method' is used, that means its not stable and cannot be guaranteed long term and has no inherent value, therefore it must be raped full out fast and dirty. Just 1 click of switch from google or CL and it could be gone and you will be back in here looking for a new 'method'. Real businesses use words like strategy and product line, equity and assets, not method.

Its great you are earning a million dollars a minute, all the power to you, but thats not inspirational or motivational if you come here to chastise everyone about it. Everyone has their own ways of getting where they want to go. You tell me you never had one stumbling block or got frustrated on your way? Its only natural.
 
money is money...whether it's made through automation or hiring a group pple to do work for you.

money made either way is just as bankable and as spendable...

the numbers sound unrealistic from my point of view because I have not seen numbers like that, Im not doubtin that it is possible, Im really hoping its possible because I want to reach that level,

I didnt join this forum/website to become lazy I just wanted to learn more about Internet marketing but the vibe that I get from veteran markerters is to bash the newbies. Have to ask why do veteran marketers feel they have to bash new comers to this industry?

Casino Jack congratulations on your earnings, and I hear you when I find my money maker Im not telling anyone my "method" I always found it funny in this business when I was starting out why do all of these "gurus" want to sell there money makers? just didnt make any sense. That way of making money doesnt apply to any other business model, unless the product they was sellin was pure garbage and the only way they was making money was by selling the garbage product.

Also, it's sort of a fraternal thing, too. Not everyone can just be in the "circle" from the get-go.
