Aliexpress issue, do I have any recourse?

Hey guys, hoping some of you can give me some advice regarding an Aliexpress situation I am in.

I source products from Aliexpress and resell on Ebay and also locally.

I ordered from this store before, https://guangrongjewelrytoprated.aliexpress.com/store/805977

As you can see, it clearly states, over $200 USD items get shipped by DHL, FedEx, UPS. So, I ordered about $300 worth of goods back in August, sent it by DHL, got it within 10 days, all was good. Items were good quality too, so I decided OK time to re-order more as my stock is getting low and I am making sales. So last Friday, I order another $350 worth of goods. Now, this is where I am Irate. I told the seller specifically by message, please send by express once again as before as order is over $200 USD. I get a message on Sunday that items were shipped, and I get a China Post tracking number. I assume its a mistake, but when I go to track it it shows up as "Electronic Information Received". So, I ask the seller, please send by DHL or Fedex as before and send me tracking number. He replies and said, it was sent by China Post, gives me the same tracking number. So now I am PISSED because I can't wait over a damn month for my order to arrive. So I send him a message and tell him I am really upset, I was hoping to have a good business relationship going forward. He apoloigizes and now he changed the shipping method to DHL, gives me a tracking number, but obviously, its bogus. Doesn't track. So my question is can I do something about this? I would rather just refund my money and I will order elsewhere, but it says I have to wait 30 to 60 days. Im considering startng a dispute but I don't know how far that will get me as it says I have to wait until December 8 to open a dispute.

Don't waste your time as if he screwed you once he will do it again and your time is precious. Please, just get your stuff, then let your customers know now it might be late(good customer service) then start looking for someone that is selling the exact same thing. Don't waste your time and frustration just move on as you have a business to run and customers to satisfy.
 
This sort of shit is why I try to avoid dealing with any Chinese unless I have something they really need.
 
These Aliexpress dealers are just a crap and bought few items from them recently. On Alibaba too they are re-sellers and they do charge in anyway also lazyness.

Try with another seller as these guys have multiple accounts with multiple stores because I seen with one of my supplier.
 
You can open a dispute to report " FAKE ITEMS" ,.

And you can also place many orders with 1 unique item .And then leave bad reviews!
 
1. You should let your current Customers know delivery is going to be late due to shipping problems. If they want refund or wait a month. Refund them if they want the refund, else they can wait. If you dont do this, you will get bad reviews.
2. Find another Supplier and start the process again. You should get their skype so you can talk with the Reps and let them know you need express shipping.

Hey dude,
I've had dropshipping experience but stopped due to the same problem... issues with suppliers. I dealt with the supplier directly which gave a slightly better insight into how everything worked. But saying so, my experience would most likely differ from yours.

1. If he did change shipping, give it a few days. Keep an eye on the tracking.
2. If tracking doesn't change within 5 days from the original time he gave the tracking number to you, check with him again.
3. If you used oberlo or another fulfilling app make sure it is in DHL , fedex or epacket.
4. If all else fails, dispute it.


Even though your supplier's english might suck, the important thing is to keep communicating with them.

In saying so, you're dealing with the supplier through Aliexpress, you have more leverage with disputes and complaints/bad ratings.

- I initiated in dealing with supplier straight away without doing due dilegence, making me lose my leverage through Ali.

It may be annoying but it's best to inform your customers there could be a delay with orders through mailchimp or whatever email service you use.
(Just make sure order numbers are correct. I've done goofed sending emails to everybody when I was meant to send to one person.)

This advice might not be the most indepth or helpful but
I wish you all the best in sorting this out as fast as possible.



 
Thanks for the replies. So the seller now messaged me with the exact same DHL number as before. Of course, when I go to track, it says "not found" so its still bogus. I have asked him again to send me the proper number. He also told me how one of the items was out of stock and had to be made. LOL. So, you shipped before this item (which he never told me which one) was ready? Makes no sense.

Well thats a good thing because I know the issues with ALI and I never dropship. But thats the problem, my order was close to $600 worth of stuff. I order in bulk and then check the items make sure they are good then I sell them. What makes me mad is that, the first shipment in which I spent over $300 was all good stuff. My customers were happy and I made good profit. So I would like to keep working with this guy, but why would you be perfect the first time and not give a shit the second time? Anyways, I told him straight up that I wanted to keep pursuing a business relationship with him but that honesty is number 1 for me and if he needs time to get the stuff together then just be honest.

That's correct, I cant dispute it until December 8, which is rediculous. I want to start selling for Christmas, I also have a local vendor show coming up on November 13, I need my stuff before then. I reinvested pretty much all my profits in this reorder so I am pretty much screwed as I don't have another $600 bucks laying around to order from somewhere else. I don't have credit either.

Remember, they are paid in low wages. They probably dont care, made mistake or both.
 
good then :) i have this problem before the seller changed the shipping method, it's better to contact the seller before ordering
 
I applied 37 days ago for aliexpress, it's most delayed company to get approval. as a regular CPA marketer, I suggest work with those who gave you good support or some manager above you to help you.
 
Hi friend, don't worry. I am one of aliexpress shop owner. A lot employees of my own are lack of decent English skills. And also lack of time dealing with thousands orders everyday.
Let me tell you what is going on,
Your order will be shipped via DHL, and the item out of stock will be shipped in another package. Yes a lot sellers are resellers actually, they can not control stock.
And for the delay tracking with DHL tracking number, is because the express shipping are expensive, if we ship the package directly via DHL, we need to pay 100%, which normally equals your item value, if we send the package to a shipping company who had a great deal with DHL, we can pay 30% only for the shipping fee, but still cost $40-50.
