Aliexpress going to stop dropshipping

This is verry bad for dropshippers.

Can annybody explane CIS.

Prohibited Traffic Types for RU & CIS 10/02/2020


Dear Affiliates,
Please be informed, that from February 15, 2020 the following traffic types are prohibited in AliExpress (Russia and CIS) Affiliate Program:
1.Media buying: context advertising, all types of paid traffic (teaser/social/push ads, etc);
2.Dropshipping sites.
The following traffic type is limited:
Coupon/promocode sites and discount aggregators will be allowed to place the codes/coupons only after approval from AE team.
Please note:
1.promocode sites are not allowed to publish nonexistent promocodes / coupons with affiliate links or mislead user in any other way;
2.promocode sites are allowed to open the affiliate link only if user explicitly clicks the button "open AliExpress site" at the coupon page.
In order to continue working in AliExpress (Russia and CIS) Affiliate Program with coupon/promocode site please send your application to [email protected]
If you are working with the traffic types mentioned above, we kindly ask you to stop traffic as soon as possible.

New Agreement & Website Information Submit before Feb. 20th

Dear Participants,
In order to help optimize convertion of your traffic, please fill in the required information and verify your email on AliExpress Portal via "settings>my websites" before Feb 20th, otherwise, for security and anti-money laundry purpose, you would not be able to access certain functionality, including withdrawal and remittance of the balance from AliExpress Portal from this month.

According to updated AliExpress Affiliate Program Service Agreement which will become in force on Feb. 12th. You should submit domain of your websites and/or information of other channels or platforms you manage in AliExpress Portal as required:

Applicability: All Participants who have registered with portals.aliexpress.com shall submit information required herein.

Step1: Log into portals.aliexpress.com and go to Setting>My websites, click the {edit} in the end of this page.
Setp 2: Fill in the ‘Basic Information’ as below, such as the Name/Media Type/Country, if you represent a company, please fill in the related info of your company.
Step 3 Fill in the ‘Site Information’ into the blank as below, such as the Site Type /Name/Site URL/Traffic Distribution/Site Category and Description, you can only select three items for the traffic distribution and site category.
Step 4 Finish the ‘Contact Information ’and fill in the valid email address to receive the verified code, then click submit, as for the phone number and instant messenger which is optional to you.

After you submitted all required information, you may continue operate under AliExpress Affiliate Program and use the portals like normal. Please pay special attention if you are a network-participant, You shall 1) choose{network}in the site type and fill in the website url of network in the {site url}, and 2) fill in information of channels in your network, including informtion of sub pubs or sub affiliates you have engaged or collaborated with on "settings - sub affiliates". Please be kindly noted your additional benefits under AliExpress Affiliate Program may be impacted if your sub pubs information is not full or accurate, though you will have full access to portals of AliExpress Affiliate Program.

Yes, it looks like they are going to stop affiliate programs not drop shipping.

It's not stopping dropshipping. It's stopping traffic generation (via the affiliate program) by paid ads or dropshipping sites. Basically sites listing products but you actually just click on the affiliate link. It's not really dropshipping imo.

CIS = Commonwealth of Independent States, states that used to be part of the USSR. CIS was formed after USSR broke up.

So if you don't live in Russia or former USSR state this doesn't impact you.

No, CIS does not include all former USSR states, just some countries (9) are there. And there were 15, I think (didn't verify).

So now Aliexpress forbids dropshipping traffic in their affiliate program in Russia and CIS countries. It's quite far from the clickbait title, OP.

Nothing stable in life.

It will be interesting if the next step will affect sellers that use their platform for Amazon FBA.

It doesn't concern aliexpress dropshipping. Only applies to CIS traffic.
Although stopping aliexpress dropshipping might not be such a bad idea.
