Aliexpress - Customs price declaration on packets

Hi,

Most if not all suppliers I have contacted have said they need to put a customs price declaration on the packet. It will be around 0.50-$1 for it to pass customs and to keep the customs tax low.

Now the issue with this is, I am selling items for around $15, so if my customers see this lower valuation, they won't be happy. Is this a legal requirement, like they state, or is there a way around this?

Can I run with it? Should I explain it to customers in the shipping or FAQ? Do some suppliers not put this price on?

If they ask you can just say that as a service for you, your supplier undervalue the packet so that the customer doesn't need to pay the customs tax. Try to explain it to them like it's a good thing (even tho it's kinda illegal...) but most people don't even look at what's written on the packet.

Yes I’ve had this over the years pre write a nice message stating that this is saving them money not over costing them

If they complain offer them one with full customs duty owed

But seriously just be polite and sell it to them just like your creative did, I doubt your run into too many troubles, heck you can even blame the current administration for it lol!!
