Alibaba - Should I Trust This Company?!

Hello, friends, I have found a great product that on Alibaba they claim to have been 1 year gold standard..they only have email and whats app every other seller only has those 2 and they sell the product only via BITCOIN/BANK TRANSFER/WESTERN UNION, Im used to dealing with paypal for other products. but this product is under patent and they are using the exact packing and name brand so i guess that's why they do it in this manner and maybe i should trust them? start a small sample?

Start a small sample order would be much safe. You also can use Escrow of Alibaba.

Start small is the way to go. I've closed lots of deals with different sellers in Alibaba. It's not Alibaba that not trustworthy but sellers themselves.
1st Year sell in my opinion can not considered reliable, yet we can not judge because they're new alone.
Some factors like:
- How they response in professional manner
- Their store page and product detail page
- How many product type they have
- How they take care of designing their Alibaba store and single product page
- Whether they have own website and check them
- Transaction level
- Supplier Assessment
- etc.

Key point is to start with sample. And, I will not use crypto to deal with physical product business in Alibaba.

It's not about lucky OP... Is about the references of the seller and the evidences they can have to be reliable. You need ask for references, pictures, kind of language and every little detail you need as Say a user before...then you can take the choise of buy or not buy.

If the seller it's legal, you don't need be carefull about the Pay form.

I hear people saying that most cases most factories only dude WESTERN UNION/BANK TRANSFER my first ventures were into raspberry pis and vapes they let me use PAYPAL this new venture does not.

Well, put on their shoes. Paypal always benneficies to the buyer un case of a reclamation. They only protect their biss. Im not accept Paypal on mounts over the 1k, it's very risky.

there are a lot of scam in alibaba.
i was once having a deal completely fixed but it seemed to cheap to me and i said them i will visit in person since i was going to shanghai anyway and they where close ... never heared from them again.

Alibaba is a wholesale platform not a retail platform. Usually for amount above $1k order, real wholeseller will not use Paypal because of chargeback potential as well as value is too high and paypal can get lock easily if the history profile for payment is new. Wire transfer is very common or local bank deposit. If you are concern, pay with letter of credit. If this is a real wholeseller, they will accept it. Use FOB term so that the seller get paid once shipping documents are in place. And ship with insurance (if need be, use CIF but you will have to pay more for shipping).

Seems suspicious. I wouldn't do it. Even if you do a small order they can ship it then wait for a bigger order then disappear with your money.
