Alibaba payment questions paypal or escrow

I'm trying to buy from a Gold supplier. I'd like to place an order via escrow, but they don't accept it. They only take Paypal.
How should I avoid being scammed?

Why don't you use paypal and you fall under the buyer protection plan so if they don't deliver your almost assured to get your money. I would trust paypal as buyer anytime they always side with your.

that's weird that a gold supplier is not accepting escrow. I have never run into that situation. Well if the guy is assuring that you will get the item shipped before the 45 day paypal dispute period (obviously should be a max 10-20 days depending on the item to get shipment), go for it. You can open a case and own him if it's not legit/or the correct stuff.

I think paypal is no longer available on alibaba or am i wrong? Escrow is safe , paypal as well too as they cover your purchase in case its not delivered or delivered a different product.

They want you to pay by paypal becourse they have to pay commsion to alibaba.

Best thing to do is, pay via alibaba with your cc, they will only release the money when you have accepted the order undamaged at your front door.
