aliexpress is like ebay but for the chinese companies
read reviews on aliexpress and google the product for reviews

Just like everywhere, they're good and bad eggs. Just that in some places, the good eggs are bigger than the bad ones and vice versa.
Just research on the seller and see customer reviews on his shop.

If it's new, then its probably scam.

Check the product reviews on google and on comments. Most of the time you can see if it's a scam

Keep your hand away from Chinese products and alibaba. I got one fitness band and it stopped working after few weeks. Also, seller is not giving refund neither replacing anything.

at that price, it's most likely a second-hand product.

unless you're buying in bulk, it's easier to buy with aliexpress.

Or you can try gearbest, which was where I bought my Mi budget laptop.
