Hey, can anyone tell me why Google analytics says I have 4,028 links to my main site, and Alexa says I have a mere 17? And it has said 17 for like a year? Do they ever update it? Or do they use a different criteria? What's more important?

Alexa is not as common as it used to be in the old days. Basically Alexa uses users that have their plugin to check where they go on the web. So if no one using this plugin hit one of your backlinks then they wont find it. I suggest ignoring Alexa

I second that. Ignore Alexa. Bullcrap analytics useful only for buffing up IBP's report for clients....

Stick with yahoo site explorer and google webmaster tools.

Yep, stick with Google, the Alexa results are not based on a usable reality. It's a Google World out there!
