Alexa Site Linking - How it is work?

This is not about SEO, but regarding some basic about alexa site linking. I have seen that some website owners doing some SEO tricks to ping every links they make to Alexa also. I also have some sites that had posts and videos in Google plus, Youtube, Facebook, etc, but they are not showing in alexa.


I am not worry about this, as alexa has nothing to do with SEO. But i really want to know how a 3 months old site can make so much of links and ping to Alexa?

This sites doesn't have natural backlinks. Most of the links were made from Backlinks[dot]com. I don't care those links, but i want to how they ping their sites backlinks to alexa.
