Alexa Ranking Script

I played with this a little. It seems to conflict with the WhatWould Seth Godwin do plugin. Its late tonight so I just pulled it back off that site and will look at it some more later to see what may be the issue. With Wordpress. Version of WP are you guys trying this with?

I will throw sometihng else out here that is a low tech way of imporving alexa rank when users don't have a toolbar installed. If you get referral traffic from links you may psost out there on the web somewhere, then pushing it through redirect.alexa.com/YouFigureOut the rest of the URL will make the numbers go down too.

I should have read the rest of the thread before I posted. I'll look at the updated code and see if I can see any difference.

Sherri, you are correct. I'm new but this defintiely deserves some rep for these people. I've only had it running a couple of days and the site I tried it on already has been seeing an increaese in traffic from some of my promotion efforts, but the Alexa ranking does seem to be going up. I was at 140K a couple of days ago and now I'm under 120K. Hopefully I can break that number soon.
 
Well thanks a lot to Eric, the Cousin. I have installed this little script in three of my WP - Blogs now and I am interested what will happen next.
The rank of one of my Blogs is about 427.000, about 30 Visitors a day, which is nothing ;) But I am really interested what my Alexa Rank will do.
So thanks again for your work, really appreciated.
 
Installed ok on my PHP social network installation, this should be interesting to direct 100% of the actual traffic stats to Alexa. If its a success i'll update with numbers.

Would love to have a look at the capture version of the script when you have a chance to post.

Just an update for my site. Started the script on 12/15/07 alexa ranking 6,380,865 and as of today 1/08/08 alexa ranking is now 568,242 with an avg of 9.3 page views per day and a google rank of 3/10

Thanks for a great script guys. ;)
 
What about putting it into blogger?
Anyone have tried it yet?
If so, what about the code to insert it, into a blogger template?

My site currently has a traffic rank of: 308,000 on Alexa, Google rank of 3/10. If anyone has a working copy of the script, please let me know I'd like to give it a try. Thanks everyone!
