How long will it take alexa to start reporting on a site?
I have two site's that i did 1k backlinks over a month ago and so far alexa won't show them with any traffic or anything at all.

I have two other site's that i started less then a week ago and done no backlinks or anything, yet they already show on alexa .

Download the alexa plugin dude. Then set your website as your homepage.

Alexa only updates the incoming links quarterly.

With Alexa, they only count the backlinks that have been used to get to your site. Mainly just make sure you register your site so you can 'take ownership' and that always helps give more credence for them and definitely do the toolbar and if you set your site that you're wanting to push up as your homepage that also helps.

Pretty simple stuff, but it definitely works.

Im using the google chrome plugin but I guess the firefox plugin is just as good.

My website went from having an alexa rank of over 2million, to being in the top 200,000.

All I did was install the toolbar on all the computers I use, then set my website as homepage on each of them.

Try it out and see for yourself!
