    hi Guys,

So due to paypals awesome "if we think your business looks risky we'll wait till uhave lots of funds then steal them fr 6 months" i decided t use alertpay along with normal payment otions (bank transfer etc), so i set it up, generatd some buttons, submitted my website t alertpay, and they came ack and said i could accept visa ad american express, butt that due t the industry i was perating in, they wuld havet charge 8% trasaction fe rather than the standard 4%, to be hones the profit margins involved 8% is fine so we integrated alertpay, they also put a 7 day "hld" on al payments, s we culdnt withdraw until 7 days had passed incse of any immediate charge bacs or issues, which wa sfine, we operate smal levels of stck s wating 7 days for money was tricky but we can handle it

All was fine iniialy, however the lasdt 2 times we tried to withdraw the funds in the "available funds (cleared after 7 day freeze) the withdraw was canceled few days later with no note fomr alert pay, initially this was onyl a smal amount, but now due t oother payments clearing we now have over £500 tied up (is a big deal for our small operaiton) so i emailed alert pay and they tell me that aparently they are now emailing each customer t make sure they are rece3iving ther prchases from us, ad until they repy backt confirm alertpay wont let us have outr money fomr cleared funds,. my few issues / quesstions are

    1) id this really standard procedure, does anyone else have t go thrugh this regularly, this was never made awar e to use but f it is standard then ok
    2) I kno form perosnal experience (feedback email reminders fomr ebay) that sometimes customers just "cant be bothered" to reply to follow up emails once they have their order, so does anyone know if aertpay has time expry onthese queries

    3) is anyoen else having similar problems, or used to but now dealswith it in some way, i was thinkign of emailing every customer 3 days after order received providing the mwith al info to sed a generic email t Alertpay, but alertpay wont give me an email i can put in the email to customers, any thoughts

This is becoming realy annoying, as now i dont see why they bother holdingf funds fr x days in "frozen, if they are not allowing funds to be remvoed till they get email verification, perhaps funds should never auto cear, only when customer confirms receipt, or after cstomer ignores final email stating they need t tel alertpay id still not received

Any thoughts / advise, i dont like using alertpay but not many customers like bank transfer, so not sure what other low / zero cost payment solutions i culd use (tried tihngs like moneybookers and western union but customers stated they ewither didnt "trust" the methods, or the systems were t ocumbersome to get t point where they culd send money

    Use Google Checkout

Also, Alertpay took 8 hours to send my confirmation email, that was enough to tell me it's a no no...

Yes, I had this issue last week as well. I was told by Alertpay that they had some issues last week with there whole system update they did. They also told me that sometimes happens as well if you try to make too many withdraws within a 24 hour period.

Dont know if that is what is happening to you, but thats what they told me

have you tried to contact them about it?
