Alert/Notification System

Does anyone know the best method/software etc for keeping personal information, e.g names, email, date of work & then having a reminder notify you by email a certain amount of time later e.g 6 months?

I think Google sheets is ok for this function, but can't figure a way to get a notifications off the sheet
