What do you think about a couple of whiskey glasses during your job time? Personally I am not drinking alc (only on sunday), but my mediabuying team always drink during they create advertising campaigns in FB. It makes them more creative I believe

For me - it depends on the time of the day. As an example, I work a bit when I put the little one to bed (7pm - 10pm) and I will have a few Gin & Tonics with my work. It gives me a decent buzz and actually helps me continue being productive / thinking outside the box.

If, however, you're drinking alone in the daytime while working - this may be slightly different.

I haven't had a glass of alcohol in 8 years, I don't drink alcohol at all anymore.

But 1-2 cups can relax a person and think a little better, but it doesn't work for everyone, someone rolls over from that one, someone needs 10 to relax :D

Personally I always fuckup the deal, when I am messaging my clients to seal the deal after my one bottle of 1 liter whisky is almost done..

It's simple, if you work for someone or some company, your "code of conduct" defines if you can get drunk or not.
As for creativity after getting drunk check this Joe Rogan interview :
https://open.spotify.com/episode/08PoI6komshjkzdBAVIPX5He has some bizarre philosophy regarding getting drunk ( in his book "Drunk")

Good point!

Depends on your working hours and who you work for.

I'd often take a client out to lunch or meet in a bar and if they were happy having a beer or wine, I'd have one too.

I've done it in hotel and airport lounges, done a business deal over a couple of drinks.

Very bad idea in many ways. First it makes you a regular drinker. After a certain point of time, you won't be able to work creatively without getting drunk.

Secondly, you are more likely to mess things up while you are drunk, than normally (been there myself).

Thirdly, drinking is supposed to make you feel relaxed. If you drink during work, it's not what you want; because you want to focus on work.

I would say, don't do it.

Edit: @MisterF does have a good point. Client meetings/team lunches are ok with me too. But if it happens regularly, then it becomes something else.

I don't think it's work for me, I have low tolerance, if I drink wine when I'm working, I think after a while, I will be dizzy, cannot concentrate on work. But the slight drunk feels good, when you have sex, it's good, lol

I painted a picture while drinking half a bottle of whiskey.
After that a lady bought it for $500.
Pretty good experience.

It changes within each personality.
one can make a glass and forget his father and mother name
and another one can make 2 glass, chill and be creative during the work.

If you don't get drunk at work, it's ok for me :P ... I usually take some beers couple times a week during work hours
