AI Generated Content Kill SEO? Like Google detects and will it lower the site's ranking or add it to the blacklist?

No, I’ve seen plenty of sites that rank well in SEO using AI-generated content in fact, many of them were new sites. What matters is that it reads like it was written by a human and uses a writing style that doesn’t bore the reader.

Nah, AI content itself doesn’t kill SEO. Google mostly cares if the content is useful, original, and not just mass-produced keyword sludge. A lot of sites already use AI for drafts, but the ones that rank still edit it and make it actually helpful for humans.

AI content itself is not the problem.
Low-effort, mass-produced, generic content is the problem. Google does not seem to care whether humans or AI wrote something. It cares whether the page provides value, originality, trust signals, and satisfies search intent.
A lot of sites using AI still rank well because they combine it with editing, structure, topical authority, and real user engagement. Pure copy-paste AI spam with zero expertise is what usually gets filtered.

Google doesn't really care. Your readers might, depending on how well you use it.

google does not ban ai content, but rather targets spam. As long as content is edited to provide real value and satisfy search intent, it can rank effectively.

Your rank on page 1 adjusts based on user signals.

The right question isn't if the content was written by AI or a human, it's whether or not the content resolves the situations that the reader has.

If yes, the signals are positive. If no, they're negative and you drop.

This is why if you create a new site and hammer it with generic AI content, you'll temporarily rank, then tank.

exactly dude because google is updating its policies and they now not ranking AI content

Yeah @splishsplash has a good point about the user signals. google definitely doesn't blacklist just for using AI, they can't even detect it reliably anyway. i ran a test with a few hundred programmatic pages last fall... some indexed and ranked well for a few weeks, then got wiped in the core update because the bounce rate was terrible. but if you use AI to build the structure and then inject unique data, it still works. just don't copy paste raw chatgpt output straight to a fresh domain and expect it to stick.

AI-generated content doesn't automatically harm SEO, and gg doesn't rank or blacklist websites simply because the content is AI-generated. gg primary concern is the quality and value of the content, not who or what created it.

Google officially states they do not penalize content simply because it is AI-generated; they care about quality, not production methods. However, what will absolutely lower your site's ranking or get you hit with a manual spam action is Scaled Content Abuse-which is mass-producing thousands of low-effort, unedited AI articles solely to manipulate search volume. To stay safe from core updates, AI content must be thoroughly edited by a human to inject real value, proprietary data, and first-hand E-E-A-T signals, rather than just copying what's already on the web.

Google doesn’t mind AI generated content the sites getting hurt are the ones mass publishing unedited AI output with no real depth.

Not directly. However, if its very frequently used it will be considered spam.

agree with @Veloro on the user signals. i ran a test with about 50 local lead gen sites using 90% raw claude output last year. they actually ranked pretty fast, but the ones where i didn't do any manual formatting or add custom images died within two months. it's not some magic ai detector, it's just that people land on the page, realize it's generic fluff, and bounce immediately. if you use AI to build the framework and then inject some real data or a custom tool, it still works. just don't expect lazy copy-paste to build a long term asset.

As long as user engages with your content and your content contents provide real value. Google won't kill your site ranking.

AI content doesn't kill SEO ;) since using GPT chat and Gemini, I've been able to apply it extensively to my SEO work, reducing working time and generating many new ideas. AI is truly a good friend if you know how to utilize it. In my opinion, GG doesn't have any algorithm that negatively penalizes a website using AI content

No, don't waste time with these questions. AI content is gonna be the only content available online, either adapt or stay behind.
