are you just using subtitles as video content or actual video?
ran into this same thing last month trying a history niche. i thought i could just loop some ai scenes but the retention was trash until i actually started editing the pacing manually. if the viewers bounce early because the animation looks janky, the algo just stops giving you impressions.
