The issue isn’t the level of detail or how good the prompt is; AI can generate beautiful visuals, but it cannot guarantee uniqueness. Generative models work on mathematical probabilities, meaning different users using similar descriptive tokens will eventually hit the same pattern boundaries. Since you cannot legally trademark or own the copyright to pure AI-generated outputs, any competitor can copy that exact style or concept without any legal repercussions.

yeah the biggest issue isn't even the trademark stuff, it's the technical side. most clients don't realize they can't use a flat jpeg or png from midjourney for actual print or scaling. it looks like garbage on a billboard or even a business card. what we do is use AI to brainstorm and get client approval on the concept fast, then just get it vectorized in illustrator. saves hours of back and forth but still gives them a usable asset.

Vectorizing after the fact is the move, @Rankings Daily nailed it. The thing nobody warns clients about is consistency... you get a logo you love but then you need it in mono, reversed, a favicon, social avatar, and good luck getting the AI to recreate the same mark cleanly. Branding isn't one image, it's a system. AI gets you the spark but a designer still has to build the actual identity around it.

Had a client last year fall in love with a midjourney concept and we spent more time cleaning it up than if we'd just designed from scratch. So it can help or hurt depending how you use it tbh.
